I've just discovered a lovely thing called groupons...I may well be the last to know...but for those like me who are sheltered...explore this lovely site...

and also another which Teddy found

www.sweetjack.com

Both sites have very good discounts on a myriad of things....good stuff too!

Be careful with Groupon; I wasn't pleased with their customer service and they've had a lot of other complaints as well.

Not only do I love a bargain... I love a green bargain!

There's a company that makes an alternative to papertowels using bamboo. Each roll replaces over 200 rolls of traditional papertowels and one roll lasts 5 years. The towels are simply washed and reused.

They also make swiffer type pads that replace up to 1500 disposables. Same principle. They are washable. For 20.99 you get one of each. The site said free shipping right now and for each order they plant a tree to help offset the 3000 TONS of p apertowels used in our country each year..

Yes, Im a junkster. Yes, I hate spending money. All things cheap, are great by me! Quality, though is a must in a cheap spending spree.

Went to a little junk shop yesterday and obtained a couple cool things!

2 vintage ornaments- .50 cents a piece

3 paintbrushes- .25 cents a piece

4 books- .25 cents a piece

a kitty play thingie - 1.00

2 large laundry hampers - 2.00 a piece.

I'd say thats a pretty damn good deal considering none of these items are cheap at a normal retail price.
And, I'd never pay full price for a book. Period. Used books have much more history to them, they even smell amazing :)
