I love Imagine Me & You and I Can't Think Straight! I have not thought of them or watched them for awhile. Thanks for reminding me :)

Some of my favorites are films that I can enjoy watching over and over again. Life Partners is a recent and surprisingly good film. In addition, I really liked The Kids Are Alright. To me, these films all feature well-developed characters who just happen to be queer. It's nice to see films that show that lgbt people are just like everyone else. They face the same lows and highs in life regardless of gender or orientation.

"The Crying Game"

We watched "Liz in September" last night.

The movie is done in Spanish, with English subtitles. I wish the movie had been twice as long...the characters cried out to be examined thoroughly!

The movie was sweet and somewhat innocent, with very little nudity.

Big thumbs up!

Yes or No and Yes or No 2. My favorite cute lesbian movies.

I really enjoy the movie Bound! I love any movie about the mafia but when two dykes rip off the mafia and get away with it,:hangloose: it's even better

Saving Face 2004

A Chinese-American lesbian and her traditionalist mother are reluctant to go public with secret loves that clash against cultural expectations.

The first lesbian movie have I really enjoyed in a long time (where one did not die of a dread disease or something terrible happening) was one I just saw recently:

Below Her Mouth.

One is more androgynous and one femme.

The sex is very realistic and hot. I think they are far better than the sex scenes in Blue is the Warmest Color.

Overall, it was very good.

-Tomboy (2011) was a pretty good movie; it's spoken in French but you can get English subtitles.
-Boys Don't Cry, is also a good movie (about a transboy; Brandon Teena).

Pariah....(2011)

A coming-of-age story.. Humming with the electricity of repressed sexuality finally breaking free, “Pariah” follows teenage Alike (Adepero Oduye) as she embraces her queerness and masculine gender expression.

Dee, have you read it? Book is so good too.

As I prefer reading to feed my own visual imaginary, I didn't watch a lot of films on that topic yet. I enjoyed "Blue is the warmest Colour", though, the way intimacy and personal struggles are displayed.
