I grew up listening to this one. My parents did not have a lot of records, but the ones they had were good. Mahalia was amazing.

Not one of my favorites. But it's certainly a classic country gospel song, and Kitty's voice sounds so sweet here. She just passed away yesterday.

Classic Loretta. I used to hear this one sung at Family Reunions. Not a song that moves me. But god, isn't Loretta amazing?

I had a CD of Old Regular Baptists line singing, but was robbed this year. Sigh. The CD's were in crates. They just carted them out.

Sam Cooke and Joan Baez have amazing versions of this song, too. Not a Baez fan, but damn. I had that Tim O'Brien record too. Got it used. Oh well. It's replaceable.

Used to love this record. I haven't followed her since. I think I recall she was playing on the Grand Ole Opry regularly, which seemed kinda weird.
