I'm sorry, but reading this thread I can't help but think of this little montage which used to crack me up...

I don't know whether or not I was named after her, per se; however I do share a full name (first and last) with a certain B movie actress who starred in at least one film that became a well-known cult classic. :)

My brother and i both were named after wrestlers. Kerry and kevin vin erich

I was named after the nurse. She must have been amazing

I was named after my mom's two favorite flowers. Used to bug me as a kid but now I love it.

My mom was pregnant with me when she saw a beautiful bride in a newspaper article, that she was reading, while riding on a train..... she liked the story about the bride and decided that she would name me after the bride. :balloon:

My mom took care of a sick little girl when in nursing school, and got attached. The little girl ended up dying, so I was named to honor her. My middle name is a variation on my grandfather's name, my dad's middle name, and my aunt's name.

I wasn't named after anyone, but my mom let her two sisters name me after my dad screwed up when he named my older sister. My sister hated her name and insisted everyone call her by her family nick name (which we did unless we needed some leverage LOL).

My mother named me after her favourite actress on days of our lives... :jester:

My mother was a practicing catholic as I swam around inside her belly... so she named me after a saint.
