I just get my jackets one size up and tailor it down, harder to do with pants I gess. Rockin |
hmmmmmmm...
a well fitting pair of 501's... or just boxers please... *fans* |
I've always thought of myself as a conservative dresser, but I like the term "classic" so I'm going with that.
Shirts: button-ups, polo-type, rugby, t-shirts when casual Pants: levi 501s, cargo pants or shorts, slacks when I need to be a bit less casual Shoes: 95% of the time either my brown slip-on have no idea what you call them shoes, or my hiking boots. Right now where I work cargo pants and jeans are fine. At the moment I don't have much in the dress-up department - my weight has been shifting enough lately that what used to fit doesn't anymore. I do need to pick up a couple pairs of dress slacks and dress shirts but I guess I'm waiting until I need them and then can size them for me right at the moment. I can buy most of my clothes off the rack. Suits are the one thing that I can't. With my weight fluctuation I wouldn't get one now anyway, but even after I stabilize I'll wait until I can afford a good tailor. |
I received my tie order (bow tie, regular tie and an ascot) from the site Jack recommended. Very happy with them! Thanks, Jack!
http://www.beautiesltd.com/?gclid=CN...Fdx05QodJDzrGQ Was thinking about how I really do like 501's... even after all these years! Comfy casual for me. Yikes, my first pair (1960's) cost under $5!![/COLOR] :supermanbooth: |

KEWL!!! This is a good one! |
Well it depends. My day-to-day gear is usually jeans and a tee-shirt typically with some nerdy saying on it like my current favorites:
"Come to the Dark Side...we have cookies!" or 98% Chimp or 2+2=5 (For extremely large values of 2) or (something my co-worker wore that I MUST have) May the Mass times Acceleration be with you (i.e. may the force be with you) If I'm not wearing that I tend toward Dockers and polo shirts. When I'm going to 'step out' I like to wear a Brooks Brothers suit with a tie. :) Cheers Aj |
I usually wear Unionbay jeans (a little big so my hips don't show), t-shirts or muscleshirts, Bates or Harley boots, and a leather jacket.

So here's a bummer... I found the absolutely most comfy brand of tighty whity's ever and they have been discontinued. Jockey GO Sculpt low rise briefs. Most comfy EVAH! Still looking for them on line.. sighs..

Going crazy trying to find a white pique (worn with tails) style vest that has a back! I have the usual backless kind, but want one with a back! I did find a black wool one.... just know they exist... have to keep looking! Any known link would be appreciated!
:worried: |
I always wear either a suit or a suit coat and pants with a cotton dress shirt or a more casual cotton button down shirt. Neckties often.
I like pleated pants, too, especially in a suit. Flat front is fine, too. I have some overcoats I really like, mostly gray or black, and one camel hair. I buy a lot of stuff second hand. In this economy, nice items have become harder to get. I don't own anything that was manufactured for women just because everything I prefer was manufactured for men. |

Man, that sucks. It took me years to find just the right pair of trunks for me, so I can totally empathize....the idea of them no longer being available would suck! I sincerely feel for ya! |

Yeah :( They make a similar line that the site directs you to when you search for those. Guess I'll be looking into them before the wife decides it's time to toss "those raggedy ass holy drawers"... sic semper tyrannis :pirate-steer: arrrrrrrr! oops.. she sleeps where I sleep :byebye: |

Hell yeah...and when they get that look in their eye, you know that crap is going bye-bye. (I had a partner who warned me about some shorts that were holey in strategic places. She hated it. Came home one day and she had totally cut them open. All. The. Way. It was sad to say goodbye to such a comfy friend. I never do it, but honestly, the ticket is this: As soon as you find stuff you like that fits you, go out and buy more of it. Invariably, I wait and end up like you Jess, looking for a replacement. When will I learn? |
