Even though I am disappointed in your reasoning, I have to agree. I've wanted to use the 'about to hurl' smiley a few times and haven't found one but was too lazy to bring it to Linus' attention in the smiley thread.

This is not exactly light hearted and funny.

But it definately led me to being disappointed. Even heartsick. In that way that makes me stare at nothing in dumbfounded shock.

I suspect disapointment is only the first of many emotions Im going to feel regarding this today.

This goes beyond disappointed for me—it sickens me.

I just read this over on Facebook as well... pretty damn sad if you ask me!!! It makes me wonder what's happen to respect, humanity, compassion, and empathy in this world!! It's like they barely exist anymore!

Andrew, Jr. 04-18-2010 04:47 PM

People disappoint me. I have learned that if I don't have any expectations from them, I won't be disappointed. It was a hard lesson to relearn.

Gemme,

I am trying to loose weight (hence the salad). I am so tired of them. I know what you mean about putting toppings on them. That is what I do. Now, I get the bag of sweet peppers (all shapes, colors, and kinds) and runs about $2.50 a bag. If I get hungry, I eat those by themselves too. Not bad.

UofMfan 04-18-2010 06:11 PM

On the phone, just a minute ago, being told that The Carousel of Progress in WDW changed its great theme song!

Where is the humanity? The lack of it is very disappointing and disturbing.

Partial list.

Another day FILLED to the BRIM with disappointments.
  • June must still have me on ignore
  • My girlfriend making fun of my new career as an agent
  • Being forced to watch shows I hate
  • 90 degree heat
  • Naps interrupted by Christmas music

Not to mention the crappy pay you're getting as an agent.

True. Perhaps I shall reap my reward on the other side.

Yep for me too....and learning that all the legal documentation I have done to protect my partner, our home, and the inevitable end of our lives could all be for nothing....sad and scarey.

2 fruitless estimates!! :(

Lillie 04-19-2010 01:58 PM

I disappointed myself today. Just when I think I have grown as a woman..I digress back to who I don't want to be. Waiting and expecting people to react the way I hoped they would..I can not control that..but its a lesson I never seem to fully learn..will i ever?

Licious 04-19-2010 11:06 PM

I had misinterpreted someone I care about... not in an insulting way mind you, but it still caused some misunderstanding... looking back I guess I should have checked in sooner. Anyway, I was disappointed in myself. Luckily, I came through in the end. :)

Fatherhood is not easy. It is demanding. And rewarding. :ballcat:

A bad reading from my last mammogram...scar tissue or cancer. :whip:

I love women with long hair or short hair. For me, it makes no difference. It is about the person's soul. :stillheart:

I was notified today that, a month from now, there will be no fulltime employees at our property.

*I* am a fulltime employee....but only for one more month.

Bummer.

Then what?

You fade to part time with no bennies?

Sounds like a reason to relocate to me.

Beautiful, I have no bennies now. Those ended, along with the hope for any cost of living raises or advancement, two years ago.

I'll get unemployment for the hours I've been cut, which will help some. I'm already in the process of relocating to Austin. I'm just trying to save up money for the trip down, the repairs I must make to my car beforehand, the Reunion (because it's been 5 years and I deserve it, dammit), money to mail my stuff down (it's going to be cheaper than Uhauling it), and finish paying off some local debt that needs to be paid off before I leave.

I've been working my plan for a while now and things are progressing, albeit slowly. I've known this was possible...probable...for a while now. Our town is driven solely by the military. When bids are lost and/or no ships come in for servicing or dry docking, there's nothing here. So, it's not a shock, just a disappointment, especially when they just hired someone and they intend to keep the worthless person she was supposed to have replaced and drop everyone's hours down to bring the new girl's up. I really don't understand their plan in doing this but if they are trying to drive the good employees away that have built a rapport with government workers and civilians that have been coming here for years, they are onto something.
