I like your idea, Parker. Thanks! Would you be willing to plan it? I don't have a dog and probably wouldn't attend because of that.

Christie, M.A. and I were thinking it might be cool to get together for brunch every 6 Weeks or so. How about we plan on meeting up somewhere on Sunday, August 26th at 11 a.m.? I'm open to ideas for locations because I don't know the areas restaurants very well.

Brunch sounds great... do you have my cell/email? MA's?

Maybe we will see you tonight!

I'm thinking of coming down to Seattle like the first weekend of September to go to a baseball game.

Anyone else into going to a ballgame?

I'd totally go if I were in town! Alas, I'll be at a family reunion in Lake Chelan. Have fun! :)

Stitch 08-20-2012 11:56 PM

Would another weekend work better?
I don't really know anyone in Seattle...

Reminder! If I don't have a confirmation from anyone by tomorrow at 9 p.m., I'll make other plans for myself Sunday morning. Thanks! :)

christie 08-24-2012 02:13 PM

Cara -

I'm sorry that we won't be more definitive until tomorrow... in the event this is a bad time for everyone, I'll be home and can whip up some eggs if you wanna swing by!

Parker 08-24-2012 02:14 PM

Sorry Cara - I cant make it because at the end of the month, I am always low on cash and these next few months will be tight due to paying off that last vet bill for Harley - so I will have to do free or nearly free stuff. :winky:

I hope you have fun though :)

Tommorow's Brunch Cancelled!

Sorry to anyone who may have been planning to attend. I'm canceling tomorrow's planned brunch due to lack of interest. I'll try to put another event together once the summer is over.

What's the end of Oct beginning of November look like for everyone. Right now it looks like the last scheduled day I'll work till spring will be the 27th of Oct.

There are a few sporadic days between Oct and the end of the April but I doubt anything that will bring me back up to northern california tempting me to continue northward.

It says yreka ca to porland is 323 miles and seattle 496. Since LA is 640 I am definitely more than half way there from the forest!

I am moving to the Seattle area Nov 10th to stay! I have missed my leftie, hippy dip friends.

The Oopster 11-23-2012 11:35 PM

wondering what people's availability is from dec 25th to jan 1?

I'm off and thought I would travel northward for a few days.

I will probably (hopefully) have a job by then, but you're welcome to stay at my place when you come, Koop. Let me know!

I might take you up on it ... would you be working on the weekend?

I will probably see if my aunt and uncle are available for a day or two and see them first. I don't want to intrude on their christmas so i'll probably see if they are available on the 26th, unless they invite me for christmas, which they might

Just Moved Up to PNW from SF

I just moved up from San Francisco to one of the islands off Seattle last week. I'm really glad to be out of California. It's great to be in a peaceful environment, my dogs love it and as I stated its very peaceful. I'm settling into my new house, doing lots of yard work and taking it easy.

May I ask what island you moved to? The islands are one of my favorite places in the whole state.

Bootsandheels 11-24-2012 01:46 PM

Hi everyone, I'm Boots! Welcome SF Boi, I live on beautiful Vashon. Would love to connect with Seattle area folks! I've been on here for awhile but just noticed this thread :) YAY!

Parker 11-24-2012 03:03 PM

I live in North Seattle (north of Wedgewood, almost Shoreline) and actually have a doggie play date set up with deb_U_taunt (who just recently moved back to Seattle) at the Magnuson off-leash dog park next Sunday, December 2nd at 10am - weather permitting, of course. :winky:

If anyone else wants to bring their dog(s) on over to meet-up with us, we are meeting in the small/shy dog area, which is a separate enclosure to the right of the main entrance of the dog park. :)

I am bringing my new FMD pup, Sally, who is about 8mos old and about 20lbs - she does pretty well going outside of the house and meeting other dogs and this will be her first visit to a dog park ...... here she is (R) with my big boy (Boxer/Pit), Zeke (L) as they *patiently* wait for their bedtime treat. lol

firegal 11-24-2012 03:08 PM

Welcome SF Boi..

Have fun at the dog park.... no dogs here.

The 24 hour shift i work doesnt make for a dog friendly home.

deb_U_taunt 11-26-2012 08:10 AM

Count me in for any get togethers. :) Looking forward to meeting people.

choochoo-enginerd 12-02-2012 10:14 PM

Hi all....I know a few of you already, but it would be nice to have an area get together so everyone meet and relax, welcome newcomers. Hope we can see everyone before too long...like dinner at our place or something comparable.

homoe 12-04-2012 07:26 PM

West Seattle..

I'm a bit shy and scared about going to meet folks, but I might show up one of these times:scared:

JustLovelyJenn 12-04-2012 08:04 PM

If anyone decides to take a trip to the beach out my way, you really should let me know... Even just coming down to Olympia makes a big difference for me in being able to interact...

deb_U_taunt 12-06-2012 05:44 PM

Would anyone be interested in going to a roller derby bout?
