I wanted to use Pennyless as a hotmail address when my business collapsed but it had been taken, so I used Pennyles (twist on lesbian), then on my first meet on a Butch Femme site I wore a top with sparkles on it and they shed everywhere! Butches had them on their suits, it became a running joke and they renamed me Pennysparkles.

I went by my nick name.. Random (short for randomnumbers) then there was a temper tantrum that led to the name lissa.. (A name pulled out of my ass in a moment of fury) years go by.. people are thinking of me as lissa.. asking for lissa when they call the house.. .. (hmmmm no).. my name is random.. or is it? After so many years of being called random, I make the decision to try to reconnect with my real name.. Cynthia.. What do people do when you say your name is Cynthia? They shorten it to Cyndi... i hate that name.. hate it hate it hate it.. Cyndi is blond and has cork screw pig tails and talks with a lisp.. (in my mind).. So.. I over hear my g/f talking to her mom one day... She's calling my Cyn.. hmmmm.. Cyn.. I can get behind that.. I added Ms. as a nod to what i am evolving into.. a Top/Domme femme.. |

When I moved to Atlanta, I swear the universe didn't want me to be alone. I quickly made friends with a group of ladies I'm still very close to. Anyways, they seemed to think that I was very proper and formal so they decided to nickname me Duchess.

is a story book character form my childhood. I find her everywhere I go in people everywhere. She misunderstands everything people say to her in the way words mean different things, phrases and instructions get jumbled. I think it is appropriate for online communications and I am too an Amelia in recovery. |

A long long time ago in a far away land I was partnered with a woman who was hell bent on having a child. So after many years of being together I finally agreed to be a parent with her. At that time I decided that I was going to be the Daddy, especially since she was going to be the mommy. Seeing I was/am also a Top, the name TopDaddy was born. The name went through various changes in spelling as I'd leave one site, then return or whatever, until it ended up TopDadddy, which it has been for a very long time now. Somewhere along the line people began abbreviating this name and hence TD was born. Soooo, when I came to this site I just went with TD, which is what I'm mostly known as anymore. |
T for Texas is an old song originally done by Jimmie Rodgers and then later by Lynyrd Skynyrd. Now I've always been a big Skynyrd fan having seen them in the 70's *before the crash* and I also wanted to embrace something Texan as this has been my transplanted home from Cali for 32 years now. About five years ago I decided I wanted to change my name at the b-f site. To be honest with you, I don't even remember why...it wasn't for any significant reason.
When I was trying to come up with a name to describe myself, I kept thinking about a good femme friend's descriptor for me, a "dapper butch". I guess she saw it as the best description for my style of dress when going out in the evening with our group of friends. Since I am not the most imaginative person, I just went with the above for a username. |
Honeybarbara is a character from the book "bliss"
I was very impressed with the character when i saw the movie (I must have been around 11/12) and wanted to grow up to be her. I then read the book when I was a bit older and fell more in love with who she was. When I was about 25/26 a few of my friends started calling me honeybarb for a joke, some of them had recently read the book. I took that as my online name. It's a nickname that occationally gets used offline as well. |

Mine came from back in the day of Planet Out. A chat friend kept calling me a "Strappin fine butch" hell I'm not even sure I knew what a butch was at that time. Then as a joke I entered the room as "Strappie" and I kept it. When I started to go to the "other" site 12 yrs ago I used Strappie and then when they made the changes to the upgraded site I couldn't get back in. I wrote to Rhon and he said he would take care of it for me, However he miss spelled my name and put "Strappin"

Started out as AtLast in the dist site. Yes, there was a connection to a femme and the song (she is deceased and the first femme I was involved with), but mainly it had to do with being the last born in my family (with a large gap between myself and my siblings) and my coming to the B-F dynamic (as a butch) later in life (although, not to lesbianism).
I added Home for this site because I do feel like I have come home in my identity as a butch and wanted to have my screen name here reflect this. |

Hack. At the time I became a member on the other site, I was working in politics full-time and considered myself a "political hack." Currently, I do political writing on the side, and refer to myself as a "hack" writer...though, I don't write cheap these days. ;)

A long time ago, a friend from California would compliment me: "You are always so sweet and content...I adore you for that." I was always so flattered to hear such an original, unique, sincere compliment. Made me blush every time.
So I changed my old screen name on the other site to Sweet&Content. When I signed up on BFP, I didn't know if it was acceptable to change screen names? (my Gramma always called me "BlueBird"... wouldn't mind using that.) Lesson Learned: Do NOT ever use an ampersand in my screen name. Recently, Medusa and Linus had to help me submit a subscription... I just couldn't get it to work!! Medusa and Linus to the rescue!! They earned their Sugar Cookies!! Apparently, the ampersand messes things up "behind the scenes" and sends various techy things all wonky! Oh! They had fun figuring it out...and were sooooo patient with me. But I bet I gave them big headaches! (Linus, I never did get that PM you spoke about... WONKY, I say...) Well, BLESS Linus and all his help... he logged off before I could get back to him... Medusa and I agreed to just shorten it down to "Sweet" and get it over with... no need to change it back again, 'cause the darn & just isn't worth it!! I've had this nic a long long time. My very first nic was 2QT2BSTR8. MSN would not let me have a nic name with a number in it and I love the mountains and I love lying on a blanket up there looking at the stars...MountainStar was born.
