If you're flying into Chicago's O'Hare field and are unsure of what mode of transport to take to get downtown, by all means take the blue line El train that runs right under the airport terminal station! TRUST me on this, ESPECIALLY if it's during rush hour! As you go sailing past the "parking lot" of an expressway hopefully you'll remember this post and smile to yourself! |

Yes, I agree!
I'm not sure if you're a sports fan, but for the past month of Sept they have ran commercials non-stop during college football games! And then just recently, in one of my magazines, I read an article saying they are really giving Subway and other sandwich chains a run for their money! |

So homoe, sounds like you like Chicago. I grew up in Indy, and moved to Chicago at age 16. Got a couple places to visit.
Chicago: Nat'l Leather Archives on Clark St. Chicago: Ride all the "L" routes. Worth the time. ImHO, Chi. has the best mass transit system in the country. Beats out MARTA, NYC, BART, et al. Chicago: Chicago Board of Trade (during trading) and the Commodities Mkt. Chicago: Oak St. Beach in the summer. Chicago: Brookside Zoo Chicago: Picnic in Lincoln Park Chicago: Rush St. at night Chicago: Halstead Ave. weekend nights and/or gay pride weekend There are way too many neat things to list. It's my favorite city, can you tell? Definitely worth a visit there. Isn't just a "if you're there see" type of city. Indianapolis: Indpls. Motor Speedway Museum, #1 of course. Indy car racing is awesome. Indianapolis: Monument Circle (center of the city WWI monument) summer or during the Christmas season. It's beautiful..lighted from top to bottom with Christmas lights. Indianapolis: The Children's Museum is world renowned. Indianapolis: Drive/ride down Meridian St. to see all the 1800s mansions. Indianapolis: Benjamin Harrison's home and that whole neighborhood that is very historical...neat old houses. Indy is only about 1.5 hrs southeast of Chicago on Chi's Dan Ryan followed by I-65 right in to downtown Indianapolis. |
WOW thank you so very much for posting all those places....
