Today, nothing. Yesterday, I hit up Savers.
I'm in a vicious cycle of buy/return with them. Since the shutdown, they no longer have fitting rooms so you have to do the best you can for sizing. Shirts are easy enough; I can just pull them on and off in the aisles as they have mirrors on the endcaps but pants, bras, et cetera are a crapshoot and, inevitably, at least one item won't fit. So, I bring it back and they only do exchanges, so I try to find something else and then it starts all over again, especially since their pricing is wonky and it's rare that I can find a substitute piece that is the exact price of the one I am returning. In a way, it's fun but also a pain in the keister at the same time. |
Sadly, Pete’s colleague’s mother died. He and his siblings, and their spouses are cleaning out her house, and they had a tag sale this morning.
When we got there, a tiny child and their parent were leaving with a beautiful old-fashioned wooden truck filled with blocks. Pete selected several tools, and I got an ice cream maker and a slow cooker. The one I have now is ridiculous, way too big to use. Pete has already put in an order for yogurt! |
A photo book. I have over 200 pictures from vacation. I just picked up the photos from CVS.
I'm doing a scrapbook kinda thing. That way I can leave antidotes along with the pictures. |
I’ll see her again, don’t worry
Today was my last meeting with my Lunch Buddy, a first grader at a local elementary school. We’ve been spending about an hour together every Tuesday. She loves arts and crafts, and she’s been making stick figures out of pipe cleaners for the last few weeks. She’s very creative and interesting. Anyway, I stopped at DD to get her a few chocolate munchkins for a special goodbye treat.

I realized I accidentally gave away all my professional summer clothes, last year!
So yesterday, a big box was delivered to me of new clothes that I ordered for my professional summer wear. It was nice to have new clothes, but I have to admit I am grieving over the clothes I lost… |
A bag for Pride tomorrow.
|
A tshirt that says “TRex hates CPR” with a T Rex crying over a patient he couldn’t save….because of his tiny, ineffectual arms. I relate to having short arms…. lol
|
Not yet, but I’m looking for some big round tall circular raised beds so that I can buy several and put more blueberries in
|
First thing this morning, a chest/abdomen X-ray. Let's get to the bottom of this!
Have a birthday and things change, shhhesh |

Well....late night online shopping😯😝
A new coverlet for my bed. Blush pink. I've always had white bedding. I'm changing it up a bit! A pair of Brooks running shoes. ( um , no running for me..lol) This pair has colors, navy, green, orange. I've always had grey ones. I'm going to be wild now. Lol Oops...my bad. Black, turq and lime green. Orange?? Lol |

Lol! I’m slightly rounded too, so that’s perfect! |
It was last week: I bought a little more time by getting routine vaccinations for Covid, RSV, Pneumonia and Vit B shot.

My new coverlet arrived already!! Its in this medium sized box that's going to explode when I open it.
LOL I have some things I brought back from my trip that I want to hang before I get that on my bed. |
This is a recommendation for an extended warranty I purchased.
I bought a Samsung kitchen suite online three years ago and got the extended warranty from SquareTrade (Allstate Protection Plan) that was offered when I made my purchase. I've had to use the extended warranty twice and both times left me happy. I had to have my receipts, register with SquareTrade online and make my initial claim online, but it's worth the effort. The first time I made a claim was when the oven quit working. The burners and all else worked but not the gas oven. They assigned it to a repair company, sent someone out, fixed it, and it's been running smoothly ever since. This time my refrigerator was over-cooling and freezing my celery, apples, tomatoes, etc. They sent a repair company out twice who said it was a known problem and it couldn't be fixed. SquareTrade replaced it with the same model that arrived today, but it's a little different from my last one. My last one had a permanent 10-year warranty seal on the front and this one doesn't, so I'm hoping I have a model with a cooling system that's been adjusted. If not, I'll just contact SquareTrade again and they'll probably offer me cash. I'm hoping this one works because it fits perfectly in my tiny kitchen. All of this is to say, I really like the extended warranty by SquareTrade/Allstate. They're easy to deal with and their goal was to satisfy the customer. Just be sure to keep copies of all your receipts and register with them online. Happy shopping. |
I bought a Trapper today! Well, his services. I have been battling groundhogs on my property for 15 years and they have gotten totally out of control this year. I’ve had it! Today he set up his traps And so far we’ve gotten two of them!
They’ve eaten my cement floor in my garage to the point where it looks like Swiss cheese. It’s not safe to go in there anymore. And I can’t even tell you how much damage they’ve done in my gardens! |

There's nothing better than a fresh tomato sandwich! Today, I didn't buy a thing but I did pick up some items that came in the mail. |
My latest strategy to take care of me…
Yesterday I renewed my license plate tags and then went to a better professional beauty supply and stocked up on all my favorite L’anza & Kenra products (a years worth of personal supplies)...
