been sad today ...
About 10:00 this morning, everyone received one of those global emails. It stated a co-worker had died over the weekend. I have known this woman since 2004. Super nice person - she was 57, a year older than me.
Sat and stared at my screen a few minutes, recalled laughing and joking around in the hall with her a little over a week ago. After that, of course I went into denial and decided it was not going to be true. Feeling relieved, I resumed coding a routine which is my bullsh*t to self ... sort of like nervously whistling in the dark when you know you are still scared. Went and found Ricky. She supervised his team. He was in his cube for once. I asked him if he had read the email sent from the front office a little while ago about B.J. ... he turned around from his computer screen ... I saw his face, then I knew it was true ... I walked away .. hot burning tears and a softball in my throat. Makes me sad. And I am feeling terribly weird about this tonight. It will settle in time. |

Mystery Solved!
Lost power last night, thankfully it was a rather warm night in Holland Ohio.. but a mystery was solved while we were without power... Lately we had been finding little bundles of strange stuffing.. From maybe furniture.. Apparently it is from furniture.. DillyBear's recliner! The kittens get inside of it and play at night, ripping out the insides... DillyBear is so very unhappy right now with the lil demons.. He mumbled something about crating them at night.. I tried to explain that doesnt work on cats.. only dogs... hopefully stapling the back of the recliner up will be a good solution to the problem and the kitties will stay out of the clink!

I like ears. Especially Chihuahua, Basset Hound, Dachshund, and Weimaraner ears but I'll fondle just about any willing pair. They're soft, comforting, and fun to play with. Yeah, I'm weird. *shrugs*
