I didn't just smile, I was grinning (and still am) from ear to ear....
My friend Joanna sent me an email at work today, telling me that she wanted to talk with me on Skype, because she wanted to be looking at me when she showed me something important...I was completely intrigued, and was hoping for the one bit of news that I knew would be absolutely amazing for Joanna. I got my wish....She showed me a teeny tiny speck on her ultrasound that means that she has created a life...:) :) :) YAY!!!This amazing warrior of a woman is pregnant!!!! I am so happy for her, that I am still tearing up despite the huge grin on my face! My dear friend Joanna is a young lesbian woman, who is successful, strong, brave, beautiful inside and out, unselfish, a person who loves without hesitation or judgement, and one who chose to take this journey on her own without a partner. She has been waiting for this beautiful news for a long time, and the day has finally arrived. I could not be more proud of her, and I cannot imagine a better mother-to-be. Planning for my clinical this week, Monday to Friday - at the hospital this time.
Excited, nervous, anxious and ready to learn. Hands on experience with patients brings me much joy - i love what i'm learning - it feels like such an honor, and i hope i do well! So today i started preparations - getting some notes together, preparing my uniform, shoes, stethoscope...and tomorrow i will be practicing taking people's blood pressures with the sphygmomanometer i borrowed from school..wheeeee! may have to go pay a visit to some random people tomorrow to get my vitals practice in lol |
My son text'd me a picture of his brand new fiance's hand w/ her beautiful engagement ring on! I officially have a daughter in law to be!

sitting quiet and still on my deck lounge chair, sipping warm dunkin donuts coffee, dog curled up at my feet, his chin rested on my bare ankle, his warmth pressed against my leg and knee. ..watching the sun warm the trees and back yard, mist rising, birds tweeting and twittering about on their happy missions ...thinking why go to the park when I have one in my back yard.

It made me smile when this girl told me it's okay that I am a lesbian. She leaned on my shoulder and we kept on talking about things. The best part is that she is the girl I would like to have if I'm ready for coming out with everyone and ready with relationships.

Smiling as I watch Him sleep so soundly beside me. Sad to know that we have less than 8 hours left together before I have to get on the plane to return home but smiling because I know that what we have built together over these past years and have waited for so long to share with one another is better than we ever could have imagined.

He made us a nice spread for the game...recorded it for me after I forgot...and we had sports bar goodies and watched the game together.... :) AND....he even rooted for the Patriots! Albeit for selfish reasons...( wanting his Falcons record to hold up better in their division...) But so what. Tonight....he was a PATS FAN...and I couldn't be happier or prouder..awww :moonstars: |
I've got my guys trained...someone always starts my truck before our shift is over, so it's warm when I clock out...:)

I'm smiling today (and jumping for joy) because I received my laptop today! Now if I can only figure out why the wireless won't connect to my router.

I wasn't feeling well yesterday and I stayed home from work. I decided to take a hot bath and even added some bubbles (okay, lots of bubbles). I fill the bathtub up with hot water and lit some candles. I was eagerly looking forward to a long soak. I get in...and sink down immersing my whole body in the hot water. I hear and feel all the water drain from the tub. The darn drain thingy wasn't working. I rise from the tub and catch a glimpse of myself in the full length mirror. I looked liked the abominable snowbutch. I couldn't help laughing at myself as I showered off in the cold water. I didn't get to soak long but the laughter made me feel much better. :)

Thinking about how much fun we had last night, trying out the new Xbox Kinect! The pictures it takes while playing the game make us look so freaking akward & silly... but it was just what we needed! |
