I am the same way, homoe.....just like you, at small gatherings. I visit quietly with the person I am with, but I'm very quiet and mostly observe at gatherings.

To answer your question: true. It doesn't even half to be a holiday to give back. No matter where I am, if I can give back to ease another's life, I give. I think of it this way: "We're all just walking each other home" (Ram Dass). It's nice to practice random acts of kindness.... :rrose:
