Oh yes, Jennifer is really hot. Despite my penchant for butchness, I think she's breathtaking. Her hair last night...oh my.

I like so many of them. I'm not the biggest country fan, but I actually love Scotty. I love Haley's voice, although I haven't liked her song choices. James is probably my favorite--his talent is so effortless.

Looking forward to this season. I like it so much better than in recent years.

This is the first year I can say they are all very talented, and it's hard to pick a favorite, but for my taste I like Paul the best.

~Bo 03-17-2011 08:26 PM

Ohhhhh. Ok. I didn't see some of the first auditions and didn't see about him having Tourettes.

Thanks, Gemmie.

I loved the opening number they all sang. It was awesome.

This year, the sound quality doesn't seem to be consistent. Sometimes the band doesn't sound balanced--like I can hear the percussion and not much of anything else. Maybe it's just me. Last night, when Lauren sang Melissa Etheridge, I thought she sounded terrible, and the judges loved her. Sometimes I wonder if I am hearing it the way it sounds.

It reminds me of the terrible sound stage on Saturday Night Live.

All of the performances last night sounded amateur hour to me in regards to the sound quality. The vocals were up and down too. We have an older TV, so I thought maybe that had something to do with it, but I guess not if I'm not the only one hearing it differently.

Watched the performances. Liked most. DId NOT like the last guy... Now fast-forwarding through to BEP performance and end of who got kicked.

And it is....

No. I won't tell. :)

~Bo 03-18-2011 08:18 PM

Damn.....I can't remember who the last guy was.

He does have a good church voice. I bet he'd make a killing in the gospel genre.

Arwen 03-24-2011 10:15 AM

Jacob was better. I muted Pia so I could listen to Scotty McCreery's "For Once In My Life" that I bought on iTunes IMMEDIATELY after hearing him. WOW.

I heart Scotty. That is all. I know who I hope leaves and it isn't Scotty.

Domestic Diva 03-24-2011 11:25 AM

i tell ya this year is provong to be a hard pick, Im diggin Niema just cause she's so different but the kid I have started calling Joe Cocker, cause he sounds just like him is really diggin it up this year

SelfMadeMan 03-24-2011 12:26 PM

I live for Idol... lol. I do not like Scotty at.all - just sayin :-)
My favs so far are James, Pia & Lauren

christie 03-24-2011 01:19 PM

I have a penchant for James. I love that we are seeing a face of autism that isn't rainman-ish. I know that apart from my love of his voice, he reminds me of our Aspie son in his mannerisms and facial expressions (minus the tics).

It makes my heart big to watch him become more comfortable onstage and connecting with the audience and I will admit that it makes me misty-eyed each week to watch him.

Casey is just an amazing artist. I wish he was a tad more humble.

I do like Scotty - I am a country music fan and I like his energy - he seems very genuine.

Delish 03-24-2011 06:41 PM

I'm late to this seasons thread. I think tonight is going to surprise a few people.

~Bo 03-24-2011 06:50 PM

I loved last night's show. Motown rocks!!!

Arwen.......how could you mute Pia???? :shocking: She was AMAAAAAAAAAZING!!!

WOW!!! Lots of surprises just in the first 15 minutes of tonight's show. I loved it!!!

Can't wait to see who goes home. I'm still loving Pia and James.

Delish 03-24-2011 06:56 PM

Oh I like Pia, Casey, James and Scotty.
WTF?????? Casey going home???

Delish 03-24-2011 06:57 PM

YES!!! He's safe!!!

~Bo 03-24-2011 07:06 PM

Shhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!

Don't be giving it away. The west coast people don't see it yet. We don't wanna ruin it for them.

Surprise ending tho.

That's Casey. I like him.

When all the contestants are good like last night, the public tends to be swayed more easily by what the judges say and for Steven to say that Casey had a big ass ego didn't help him at ALL.

I agree, Bo Bo. Lots of surprises in the show and, for the West coasters, sorry about the spoiler.
