"Caresses, expressions of one sort or another, are necessary to the life of the affections as leaves are to the life of a tree. If they are wholly restrained, love will die at the roots."
~Nathaniel Hawthorne |
“It was the best first kiss in the history of first kisses. It was as sweet as sugar. And it was warm, as warm as pie. The whole world opened up and I fell inside. I don't know where I was, but I didn't care. I didn't care because the only person who mattered was there with me.” ― Sarah Addison Allen
“People do the damndest things when they’re in love.”― Jennifer L. Armentrout “I give her the only honest and true answer I have. "You're where I want to be.” ― Simone Elkeles “I would know you anywhere my love. In a crowd of a million people in a far off market place, I would know you. Whoever I was and whoever you were, I would know you at once. No matter the country, no matter the year ,no matter the lifetime . I would know you. ” ― Philippa Gregory |

"I believe that being happy is the only important thing. Happiness. Simple as a glass of chocolate or torturous as the heart. Bitter. Sweet. Alive."

Oh so true~~~
I grew up watching 'Superman.' As a child, when I first learned to dive into a swimming pool, I wasn't diving, I was flying, like Superman. I used to dream of rescuing a girl I had a crush on from a playground bully.

On the Wind by DC Martin
Borrowed a box of broken dreams and picked through a few, but none fit the hole within my chest, so I tucked a few just out of view and to the hopeless, I gave the rest. My feet led me to where I'll sleep tonight, so arriving I sat and leaned against the wall, as the rain it fell like a symphony in an abandoned concert hall, The wind it seems to call your name or perhaps that's just what I would like to hear, and the shadows deceive, for I do believe, sometimes I can see you standing there. Standing off to the corner, just on the edge of my field of view, smiling and asking where have I been, God knows, I'd tell you if I knew, My memories are what’s broken, that and everything else that makes me whole, an incomplete disaster, a staggering body without a soul, in search of what I once was, and hoping that I'll never find that place, longing to go back just one more time, to make up for my mistakes, But the wind it seems to call your name, or perhaps that's just what I would like to hear, and the shadows deceive for I do believe, sometimes I can see you standing there. So I'll keep on stumbling forward, as I fall backwards once again and keep an eye out for you my love, I'll keep searching for my friend, On the breeze I'll hear them whisper, your name so very soft and perhaps I'll borrow a broken dream that someone else has lost For the wind it seems to call your name, or perhaps that's just what I would like to hear, and the shadows deceive, for I do believe, sometimes I can see you standing there. |
Until you value yourself, you won't value your time. Until you value your time, you will not do anything with it.
M. Scott Peck |
AFTER A WHILE (Veronica Shoftshall, 1971) After a while you learn the subtle difference between holding a hand and chaining a soul and you learn that love doesn't mean leaning and company doesn't always mean security. And you begin to learn that kisses aren't contracts and presents aren't promises and you begin to accept your defeats with your head up and your eyes ahead with the grace of woman, not the grief of a child And you learn to build all your roads on today because tomorrow's ground is too uncertain for plans and futures have a way of falling down in mid-flight. After a while you learn that even sunshine burns if you get too much so you plant your own garden and decorate your own soul instead of waiting for someone to bring you flowers. And you learn that you really can endure you really are strong you really do have worth and you learn and you learn with every goodbye, you learn... |
You are terrifying
and strange and beautiful, something not everyone knows how to love |
"Love is the expression of one's values, the greatest reward you can earn for the moral qualities you have achieved in your character and person, the emotional price paid by one man for the joy he receives from the virtues of another."
~Ayn Rand "Everybody's human-everybody makes mistakes. If you laugh it off and keep going and try to give it your best the next time around, people respect that." ~Unknown "Most of the important things in the world have been accomplished by people who have kept on trying when there seemed to be no hope at all." ~Dale Carnegie |
There's always going to be another mountain
I'm always going to want to make it move Always going to be an uphill battle, Sometimes you going to have to lose, Ain't about how fast I get there, Ain't about what?s waiting on the other side It's the climb I am not a Miley Cyrus fan but I love what the lyrics say. |
“Whenever you behave in a way that is inconsistent with your ideal of your very best behavior, you experience a negative self-image. Because you feel yourself to be performing below your best, below what you truly aspire to. Over time it adds up, the roots of depression.”
― Brian Tracy “Confidence is a life ingredient that is essential to success and wholeness. It is perhaps the single most important trait that enables seemingly average people to do and become all that they can." -Steve Goodier “When you lack confidence, what you're really saying is, I need those people over there to approve of me. That is the desire to control other people and what they think. Those who exude confidence will tell you, they look only to them selves and their actions for approval.” - Marly Stoval |

The Unconditional One
"You, always the same, you Friendship, tenderness, I can’t describe it…. You’ve been like my shadow, you The story of love that never was… You, eternally mine, you A hotel, your body You, my secret friend, you A rush of passion Early morning love There exists no bond between you and me nothing of love nothing at all You, the same as yesterday The unconditional one who asked nothing of me You, the same as yesterday the one I didn’t know how to love …I don’t know why You, so intense, you Solitude, affection, I can’t describe it…. You, the hours I felt my lowest, you The body of a woman A pair of white roses There exists no bond between you and me There were no promises, nor vows nothing at all Friend, You, the same as yesterday the unconditional one who asked nothing of me You, the same as yesterday the one I didn’t know how to love …I don’t know why…" By Juan Carlos Calderon |

“We’re all seeking that special person who is right for us. But if you’ve been through enough relationships, you begin to suspect there’s no right person, just different flavors of wrong. Why is this? Because you yourself are wrong in some way, and you seek out partners who are wrong in some complementary way. But it takes a lot of living to grow fully into your own wrongness. And it isn’t until you finally run up against your deepest demons, your unsolvable problems—the ones that make you truly who you are—that we’re ready to find a lifelong mate. Only then do you finally know what you’re looking for. You’re looking for the wrong person. But not just any wrong person: the right wrong person—someone you lovingly gaze upon and think, “This is the problem I want to have.”
I will find that special person who is wrong for me in just the right way. Let our scars fall in love.” ~Galway Kinnell |

— Albert Einstein |
“She did not need much, wanted very little. A kind word, sincerity, fresh air, clean water, a garden, kisses, books to read, sheltering arms, a cosy bed, and to love and be loved in return.”

If some lives form a perfect circle, others take shape in ways we cannot predict or always understand. Loss has been part of my journey. But it has also shown me what is precious. So has love for which I can only be grateful.
