I found myself thinking about _Road House_ with Patrick Swayze just yesterday.
I was listening to a podcast about different methods police departments have tried to cut down on the amount of violence they're involved in. One of the methods that has worked the best has been to teach the officers to de-escalate situations, instead of escalating them. (What? you say? I thought police officers were taught that at the police academy in Policing 101. So did I, so did I.) Anyway, I thought, "Haven't these police officers ever seen _Road House_? If bar bouncers know how to de-escalate situations, why don't the cops?" <smh> "Be nice!" |

Night of the Living Dead
Can always watch this. Saw this for the first time with my older sister who, unbeknown to me at the time, had a zombie phobia. She was almost underneath the seats in the movie house. And I was shocked by the ending, but she wasn’t. Three cheers for filmmaker, George Romero. |

WHY they didn't make a sequel to this I'll never know~! |
