Yes, they always seemed more important when you were younger but they still come around, you start getting excited and, before you know it, you've spent a lot of money, have a sense of anti-climax and think never again .... until it all starts again the next year.

I think I reported I was having a crush. It was someone I saw on the train every morning. Then I realized today I hadn't seen her in a while, and my crush had completely evaporated.

Crushes are like that. Sizzling hot, stir it around, then you look in the skillet and it's all cooked out.

Given how bad the train service is here in London, I'd crush on any single train driver (irrespective of their sexuality, gender, appearance or personality) if I saw them arriving into my station on time.
