* Every Silver Lining Has a Cloud * |
This is the sixth track off Madrugada's Industrial Silence (1999) album: They're a Norwegian alternative rock band. The name of their band is curiously interesting to me too. I read that "Madrugada" is both Portugese and Spanish, and translates roughly to the blue hour (dawn) and was suggested as a name for their band by, a poet/writer friend, Øystein Wingaard Wolf. |
i've obviously spent too much of my life on the internetz - this was the first tune to come to mind
time to go watch a gummy bear or crazy frog video to exorcise this demon of an ear worm |

Devo's - Workin' in a Coal Mine was very popular for those of us in beauty school.... we lived for Saturday nights, so we could sleep in on Sunday. We listened to a lot of tunes by Devo, Spandau Ballet, The B-52's, Culture Club, The Cocteau Twins... as well as, Jesus and The Mary Chain. |

can hardly wait to see the new James Bond film...
Love Adele. |
Frou Frou's song comes to mind, when I think about passionate qualities of music- elements of music played or the effect of a strand of lyric or both or more... music liberates me, frees me, takes me places I've not fully experienced... (I like this song a lot, Imogene's voice)

I like the way Ingrid Michaelson sings REMs song, 'Nightswimming'
(the original song by REM makes me teary at times, though) |
