I see you conveniently left out the hour of cleaning.

I once had some horse pills to take for an infection that were HORRIBLE. The taste alone made me consider never injesting anything, ever again. It gave me nasty queasiness and a horrible metallic taste in my mouth and nothing but really rich, thick foods were enough to cover it. In the course of two weeks, I consumed enough full fat ice cream and ranch dressing to fill a boat...and add 10 pounds onto my frame.

So, a little wind shouldn't be too bad and you can catch up on all the movies you've never watched in the past ten years with the time you have on your hands now.

I took Ebon to the computer store to get some thingamajiggy for his work computer and stepped in the residual goo left from the pest guy, who came while we were out.

I'll work on some laundry and chores soon, but other than that, it's going to be a lazy, not going anywhere for anyone kind of day.

bright_arrow 04-07-2011 09:50 PM

Worked a (tiring and hectic) shift
Dealt with a customer yelling across the front end at our loader
Came home and showered on lunch because I'd slept in
E-mailed the wedding coordinator and will re-visit with her tomorrow
Picked up some flowers for the front porch and soil to plant our calla lilly
Updated my resume
Applied for a position in a pharmacy
Watered the roses, chives, catnip and mint
Watched a lot of Reaper: Season 1 :)

Morning shift tomorrow, then another visit with the wedding coordinator to see if we can get all we want within our budget. Weekend off, possibly bowling with friends, and cleaning up the yard and loosening the soil. Hope it stays sunny and cool! :)

This entire week has been kicking my butt (with the exception of my Monday morning spa time....thank you sweetie....it was a lifesaver :lips:). Yesterday...
  • took the Prince to school at 7 am
  • breakfast for Rooster, packed his lunch
  • woke Scoote up in time to get ready for the nurse to come
  • took Rooster to school
  • in between all that....logging in to work, answering the first round of emails
  • 6 solid freakin hours of conference calls
  • agendas, minutes, spreadsheets til my head was spinning
  • wolfed down leftovers that Scoote reheated for lunch somewhere in there
  • dealt with a techinical issue....emergency calling to BT and others while the training session was crashed and 30 people were sitting on the line
  • dealt with unreasonable boss requests ( a couple of them)
  • picked Rooster up from school
  • back to work
  • dyed my hair (so long grey) and took a shower...finally....at 6 p.m.
  • decided to save time by getting straight into pjs :)
  • Scoote ordered pizza for dinner (did I mention that I love that woman?)
  • Rooster announced that he needed help getting assignment typed that is due tomorrow
  • assignment is 6 pages long :|
  • type for an hour
  • collapse
  • start snoring while Scoote is still watching TV in bed

Between yesterday and today, I've done three loads of laundry and have loaded and run the dishwasher once. We went grocery shopping last night, which turned into today, bought a crapload of stuff and was followed by the po po on the way home. Ha! You got nuttin on me, copper! Booyah! So, he turned around when his jurisdiction ended and we continued home. Ebon installed the faucet water purifier we bought last night as I put away the groceries, and soaked both of us because he wondered 'what would happen if I do this...'. This morning, after being squirted and soaked too many times, he uninstalled it at my request. We will be drying that sucker out, returning it and going with the pitcher in the fridge version of water purification, thankyouverymuch. Ebon made breakfast and I ate it and now I'm thinking about lunch. Before long, I'll log off of here and do some putzing around the house and then go work for an hour and come home. Either before work or after, I shall make dinner and take care of putting away the dishes that are in the dishwasher and putting new, dirty ones in.

FIFO

Um, we didn't buy any chocolate last night and I'm craving it bad now so I'm going on a hunt for something chocolatey.

Kätzchen 04-08-2011 01:17 PM

I slept for about 15 hours ...

((( after pulling a 16 hour rotation at work
and 8 hours of class + study time )))

*I'm going back to bed so I am ready for another
48 hour stretch of duty for work and school*

*Sweet Dreams*

ps/ leaving some chocolate to share with Gemme & anyone else who would like some...

  • I woke up
  • I actually got out of bed
  • Had appointment with the 'crip chair' man
  • Got to uni, and, after some serious faffing, emailed a scan of the floor plan of Birkenau to myself.
  • Met Big Gay Al for coffee and liqueurs and had him laugh at me for getting the wrong week for his company's performance of Gays (sic) and Dolls
  • Actually was home for the girl on skype
  • Made a bacon and avocado stack thingy on wholemeal toast.

In the process of achieving - Chilling out.

showed up at work!
completed three tedious projects from start to finish
taught someone how to knit
mailed five packages
walked my dog
made dinner
took time for myself and stayed home, instead of going out with a friend when I did not feel like it
and watched bones on my laptop (I don't have a tv, by choice)

bright_arrow 04-09-2011 06:52 PM

Got up at 9am after 12 hours of sleep
Jumped into shower
Ate leftover chili cheese dog for brunch
Went to four different hotels to inquire about reception packages
Came home and dug up a 5'x5' plot
Raked up the back yard
Burned the leaves and dry grass :vigil:
Decided to go to Lowe's
Picked up manure, daffodils, tulips, lima beans, black beans and paving stones
Put gas in the truck at Sam's Club
Decided to browse Sam's Club
Bought Abby a Wii learning game, Harry Potter for Wii, and some cereal
(and belgian chocolate thin crisps with rice cereal in them!)
Came home and swept out leaves and birdseed from the vestibule
Scooped out the litter box
Put all the trash out
Raked front yard and garden
Boi put in paving stones along edge and planted the daffodils and tulips
I put leaves and branches in paper bags
Transplanted flowers into pots and watered them
Boi filled the bird feeders with seed

I will possibly put away the load of laundry I did and maybe take the clothes out of the bathroom and downstairs... Maybe. ;)

Tomorrow? Mix manure into backyard garden and put up the fencing along the edge. Also going the plant the strawberries.

Hella productive weekend! Hopefully next weekend I will be accompanying hym to the annual military retirement dinner.

Venus007 04-09-2011 07:27 PM

Deep cleaned my kitchen, toothbrush, mop and some serious scrubbing
Did a few loads of laundry
Worked on my final project for my health care statistics class
Did some reading for school
Worked on my ICD-10 lesson plan for the school I teach
