N ~~>>> Napkin Notes (tba).

A man dying from kidney cancer is determined to write notes on napkins for each day his daughter goes to school, so he'll have a way to keep their bond in tact, once he dies and no longer is in her life (physically).

I remember this true story featured on Post Secret.

A poignant film, yet to be released in the film industry.

This is one of my all-time favorite movies and I watch it every 10 years or so. I would love to own the Criterion Collection edition. Brando, Steiger, Malden and Lee J. Cobb were just outstanding. Brando put in some superb performances when it came to conveying the struggles of the working man and I think this was his best one in this genre, even better than his role of Stanley Kowalski.

I hate sappy hollywood endings, but it's impossible not to cheer for Terry Malloy when he struggles to his feet and enters the docks, followed by the workers.

:happyjump:

It's excellent in every regard.

Totally agree. Great performances. Fabulous script, awesome lighting and cinematography. A 20th century cinematic masterpiece.
I haven't watched it in an age though :|
