I am on my third cup of tea. My daughter slammed her little thumb HARD in the car door as I dropped her off at camp!! Oh man do I remember the times that happened to me as a kid! She is home now and feeling better. I have not had the heart to tell her that her thumbnail will be falling off.

i am not sure yet if i am changing or not...the new one is kink-aware and specializes in GLBT, but considered "out of network "by Blue Cross :( the old one might be "out of network," too. First six sessions covered by EAP program, not sure what will happen now so far my insurance has been staggeringly unhelpful with this! |
Wayyyy too hot to cook my friends :)
I'm ordering chinese food...the Rooster has put in his vote for sweet & sour chicken, sauteed veggies and fried rice. I'm thinking some sesame chicken too, and an eggroll. Anyone want to add to the order? :eating: |
Quote:
i TOTALLY want sesame chicken...we are taking my Dad out for his birthday on Sunday- he "hasn't decided" where he wants to eat yet but i am trying to ESP a Chines efood craving at him right now! |
Yeah Jo it was way to hot to cook today!! Had my Jenny craig but it was hot!! Tomorrow is suppose to be better. DC I understand about the GLBT thing and the kink thing too. Its important that the therapist knows and is aware about these isssues. Thank G-D my therapist is GLBT friendly or I would be looking for a new therapist!!As far as insurance goes that's a whole another story..make sure you are covered otherwise you are responsible for the payment!!
Wow the oral communication class is going to be a bitch a speech in two weeks then one every weeks. First one is suppose to be 3-4 minutes long and its about yourself. Does anybody think I should out myself?? Like say well I'm a lesbian or gay and indulge in the butch-femme lifestyle? Please I need feedback on what to do or should I stay in the closet and pretend I'm straight which everyone does already!! I don't know what to do!!:| |

Heya Lipstix,
I would say feel the class out and then make the decision about whether or not to come out. I know at DeVry, most of the school body was gay, there were some of them that were still in the closet, but I didn't care... Have fun tonight, Zimmy Quote:

Heya Scoote,
I noticed that typo and I just looked over it... Hope you are having fun over on the Gulf, Zimmy Quote:

Good Evening Everyone,
My back is starting to itch from my sunburn and I cannot reach the itch......Since I didn't get a chance to make it for dinner, I am going to leave some homemade brownies and coffee ice cream for dessert. Have a good night all and see you all in the morning, Zimmy |
Afternoon one and all
Bleeurgh! can't possibly partake of any victuals so pots of tea will have to do *sets tea tray on the table* help yourselves. |

And Good morning to all of the other kitchen dwellers :bringcoffee: I'm glad it's Friday...and even more glad that a storm is coming in and will break up this heat we've been having...I can see the grey sky and feel the cool, rain-on-the-way air :cheesy: :linecook: Anyone ready for breakfast? I'm thinking it's a steak and egg kind of morning...cooked to order. I like my steak medium and eggs over medium...and some nice crunchy sourdough toast to soak up the yolks. :girleating: Can't be all unhealthy though...so there's a platter of fresh pineapple and cantaloupe slices as well. Enjoy! :lips: baby..... :alarm: I love you. :stillheart: |
|
Quote:
Most kind of you m'dear...I'm still guzzling tea and feeling decidedly gippy (Brit speak for rather nauseous). I hope you have a marvellous Friday. |

i would come out...but i have a history of letting the chips fall where they may...i also like to be really offhand about it and refer to it casually with an air of having expected people to already know. People who would not normally be all that cool about it find themselves behaving as if they were cool about it just because i so totally seem to assume they will...can be funny esp. in the hotbed of religious right republicanism in which i live Quote:
yes you are the only perv in here.:flasher: |
Afternoon!
Stopping in to see if anyone else like to still perculate their coffee? Getting the why do you use that ancient thing? Also, wishing all a great day! |

WEll, good afternoon to all the kitchen dwellers!! had that lousy internship site again. all I did was look over documents that were previously scanned int the computer in patient's files and make sure that they were there, HOW BORING!! I think I am going to complain about this site to the school. I need to be able to do vitals and such which is what I learned!! Not a happy camper at all tonigh and dead tired!! My eyes are bleary from looking into that screen all day. I hate being a medical assistant for sure. Nursing school here I come!! |
Good Afternoon AtLast,
My old roommate in Orlando still has one and I had to make coffee in it one day and I liked it. Hope you are having a good Friday, Zimmy Quote:

Good Afternoon Everyone,
I had to take my youngest niece to school this morning and came back home around noon. I finally had my first cup of coffee around that time. I am thinking another cup is in order to keep me awake. Hope you all are having a good day, Zimmy |
Good Afternoon Incubus,
Try eating some crackers. That will help the nausea. Get to feeling better!! Zimmy Quote:
|
Yeah Zimmy crackers will do it for the nausea. Well just heated up some pizza too tired to do anything else. thinking I need that extra cup of coffee. funny thing this doctor's office doesn't have coffee at ALL!!:blink:You would think that the doctors in teh office would want some coffee to drink but NO. I'm bringing coffee in on Monday morning with me I don't care what that lady says!! Just waiting fo the pizza to cool off and putting on my short pants to cool off!! What is everybody else doing tonight?? Any plans? My eyes feel like this:glasses:with my glasses on!!

drip coffee is considered an inferior method- next to the french press coffee connossieurs like percolators best...it's not ancient, it's classic! |

Good evening everyone...soooooo glad it's Friday. I'm pooped...but luckily it's cooling off so I don't mind making dinner. The Rooster requested meatloaf, mashed potatoes, homemade gravy, corn on the cob and steamed broccoli. (He loves broccoli...seriously). :eating: Dessert? Hmmmmm....any requests? I know my sweetie would vote for something chocolate for sure... Welcome AtLast :rrose: ....your percolator question made me smile. Way back about 100 years ago I was bartending at a tiny, rough little bar in the middle of Wyoming. Lots of ranchers, some miners....tough place. I'd start work about 5 p.m. and first thing I did was to put an ancient percolator on, no matter the weather. Seems a couple of the old ranchers had land spread all over the place...and they'd stop at the bar on the way to do their last drive around before heading home. Several would order "a cup, a cow and a calf." :cigar2: The cup....percolated coffee, so strong you poured it out and cut it off. The cow...a fifth of whatever they drank (usually Jack Daniels). The calf...a pint of the same...that was for the drive home. Yea...they were some tough guys...and I'd hate to see their livers. |
Hi Everyone, TGIF! I am just drained. It has been a week. I hope everyone is doing well. It feels like a sauna here. (w) All of my flowers are drooping. And now we have water restrictions. No more watering the lawn, or flowers...crap. |

I hope your placement improves and becomes more interesting for you soon. Quote:
Hola Kitcheneers, it's late evening for me and I've had a great time catching up with my best mate Tinkerbell after being away at Mrs.Incubus' place for a couple of weeks. I hope everyone has had and is still enjoying a frolicsome Friday. |

Welcome to the thread Andrew!!! I can Fed Ex you some iced coffee if you like or some sweet iced tea?
Our heatwave here in Florida has kicked back up and the heat is getting unbearable, even for me.... Anyone have any suggestions on how to take out an itch from a sunburn? It is on my back, just below my shoulders, and I cannot reach it.. Have a good night everyone, I am off to La La Land... Zimmy |
Heya Jo Jo,
I still have some homemade brownies and coffee ice cream if you would like some?? I made the brownies with an extra egg, so they are like cake brownies and very addicting, hehe...Have you ever heard of something called Chewy Cake? My stepdad's grandma always makes it, and she finally gave me the recipe. My roommate nearly took the whole Tupperware container to work with her.... Hope you are having a good night and keeping cool, Zimmy Quote:

Good Evening/Early Morning Incubus,
Your welcome...I would say like a regular cracker, no cream in it. We call them Saltine crackers over here or see if you can find some Soda crackers. They are plain so they won't hurt your stomach. When was I sick in April of last year, the only thing I could eat was oyster crackers, water and oatmeal cereal. Good to read that you are feeling a little bit better, Zimmy Quote:

Good day Kitcheneers, I hope everyone has fun plans for their weekend. Today's plan here involve a friends birthday celebration, Sparkle weekend on Canal Street in Manchester http://www.sparkle.org.uk/ and curry at Akbar's. All in all it should be a marvellous day. *leaves the large pot of porridge bubbling gently for those that would care to partake.* |
