  • Being gifted four third row center tickets to a local Dead and Co concert next week- picked them up today and they came with VIP parking too- whoop!
  • Making plans with my friends on how to circulate the tickets among us throughout the night.
  • Success in navigating some business challenges.
  • A great talk on the phone.

I have big fun plans for tonight so I wanted to sleep in this morning. I had time to sleep in. So, I assumed my body would do the normal *ping!!!* Awake at 5am. But it didn't! I slept more than I have in months!

Last night at work, I told my associate, thank you for doing something. She stopped for a moment and said, " you said thank you, that made me feel good"

I say 'thank you' all the time. She, just realized the feeling I brought on.

She then told me, I guess I'm just not used to hearing it, coming from a house of disfunction. She says..."I'm going to say "thank you " more often.

I can look back and name all the people who have influenced me, who I've learned valuable lessons from. I'm realizing it's me, now, who can be the influencer.

It was pure joy and some happy tears.

I had a customer come in today, that was quite chatty with me the last time she was in. Today, she was telling me about her flooded home story. How she just couldn't wash the smell out of her clothes, how she lost family mementos, but was able to save the piano. (She is a composer.) Well another customer heard this story and joined into the conversation. This customer ended up buying her selections. Truly an act of kindness.

She was overwhelmed to say the least. Sometimes people surprise me 😇

Making an appointment to speak to an advisor about the accelerated nursing program that my school offers. I could have my BSN in 3 years..at a minimal cost. I meet the criteria so...its just about when I can start. Oh and I'd have my ADN in 2 years...can't beat that with a stick.

Also made an appointment with my credit union to discuss how to improve my credit score. I have no credit vs bad credit. Some say that's worse. We shall see..

Feels like I'm wrangling up some ducks at long last.... :)

You're right. Nowadays, no credit means you could be a bomb waiting to go off or something. Verrrrry suspicious.

:weightlifter:

An easy way to grow your credit would be to get a rewards credit card through your credit union or bank. You can get set up auto payments of your normal bills on the credit card and that way you only make payments to the credit card each month, your bills get paid and you build credit. It's a win-win-win as long as you don't go buck wild when you get the card.

That would be counterproductive.

Also, you can get a gas card. I've had one for years now and unless I'm road tripping it, rarely put more than $20-30 on it per month but it does help to build credit and when funds are tight one month, I can rely on it for my fuel.

What brought me joy this morning was a teensy weensy dip on the scale. I'll take it!

Watching my daughter and her boyfriend chase each other around the swimming pool today, and knowing her boyfriend thinks I'm "cool"... OH and that she told him that she tells me EVERYTHING... :D

Picking up a magazine in the doctor's office waiting area and finding a note!

You have been warned. You will die.------->

(Inside) You will die on July 9th, 2016...

DON'T DOUBT

I know where you live

It looks like middle school handwriting. It made me chuckle because this is the kind of kid I was. I'm glad no one with paranoia found it. 😃

July 9th is an excellent day. I'm going to an art festival that day.

I might die of a heart attack from being charged $5 for a generic bottle of water if I forget mine this year.
