Being flirted with by a woman at the grocery store this afternoon. Of course, at first, I didn't "get" it.... then did think to drop my card in her basket....

Two things...

1. Oklahoma had another earthquake tonight. The largest in 60 years: 5.8 magnitude. It just rumbled and shook through my house!

2. Both OU and OSU won today, I'm happy about that. :)

I was thinking that even under ideal conditions people have trouble locating their car keys in a pocket, hitting the G-spot, and pinning the tail on the donkey, but I’d bet my last dollar everyone can find and push the snooze button from 3 feet away, in about 1.7 seconds, eyes closed, first time every time!

that the puppy was not aware of the time change....

Has anyone here ever had to make a quick escape? Like pack a car n leave your life behind kinda escape?

ButchEire 11-06-2011 10:20 PM

Actually, I tend to bypass the button by throwing the clock against the wall.

Why people clog up facebook with sharing pictures from external websites.

little_ms_sunshyne 11-06-2011 10:27 PM

Overwhelmed!

Shadowboi2010 11-06-2011 11:40 PM

Was just sitting here thinking about how my Halloween decorations scared the crap out of the neighborhood kids.

...and smiling!

Acceptance

When we (and I mean we as both individuals and/or part of a community) seek and expect acceptance from others we need to be mindful of the fact that not everyone thinks and feels the same. We all have the right (thank G*d) to our opinion and to voice it. Will some people find it offensive? Absolutely. But for as many people that do the same number of people will find it funny or not give it a second thought. That's the beauty of diversity. It's also the foundation of democracy. You cannot expect people to accept you and/or your community if you yourself are unaccepting. It's not selective. When you censor people because you either don't like or understand what they said, on some level you lose your credibility to expect unconditional acceptance outside of your comfort zone. My .02.

CockyDude -

It's not acceptable to use public threads to play out your dissatisfaction over a moderation, even if thinly-veiled. You've been told to move on twice.

You are now on a 2-week time-out. You are not to access this site, our Facebook page, or any of our resources while on a time-out, nor are you to create additional screen names in order to circumvent the system.

Thanks for your cooperation,

Not real happy at this moment....... Went to get in my truck to head back to VA after a weekend in NY, found that I had a broken tie-rod on my truck! It is now in the shop getting fixed and I should be on my way with about a 3 hr delay. I guess I need to look at the positive side..... it could have happened while I was driving.

You know, it's funny you ask. I deliberately sought a degree that will allow me to get a job anywhere in the world at any time, and I have a get-away/escape plan. In my home office lock box I keep a list of all of the things I'll need to do (call my best friend to pick up my cats, transfer ownership of my house to my mother, etc.), a packing list (take LOTS of contact solution, extra lenses, and chapstick), and necessary travel documents (passports, wedding license, medical/legal proxies, etc.). I can grab the box and leave.

I put all of this in place during the 2004 presidential election, and I've kept everything up-to-date since then. So no, I haven't had to yet, but you just never know.

I think we would be surprised at how many have done this. I left a horrible relationship (noone on these sites) a few years back with what i could load in my car on my lunch hour. My boss encouraged me to after he found out the living conditions i was in and gave me a thousand bucks to do it.

I left my life there. I only had what i could fit in my car, which was mostly clothes and pictures, and took off across the country and came home. I left 8 years of accumulated "things" from my personal things growing up to somewhat expensive items i had purchased on my own. Boat, camper, motorcycle, hot tub, all of my Christmas stuff ...everything.

But, I'll tell you something. You *anyone, can rebuild, start again. Many of us have done it. In the end, you know it was worth it if the relationship was not healthy or safe. Things are just things. It has taken over two years to rebuild my life, but it is now rebuilt and i couldn't be happier and i know i made the best decision.

*hugs to you

Loving the fact that I fixed my facebook page all by myself! Figuring out all the new settings was a good thing.
