Snuggling close to Him this morning after I hit the snooze...its only 10 minutes, but it was a very much needed 10 minutes :)

My guys at work going "covert ops" just to get me a good wooden file cabinet so it matches the rest of my office furniture! Its sad that my old office is playing games, but funny that my new guys are willing to be Ninjas for me :)

Being chosen to be a "Super User" for a new computer program we are ramping up at work..means I will be a trainer..which means more money :)

My puppy Smudge pouncing on my face at 4am, which initially made me :( , but when he started licking me and snuggled into my neck, I had to smile!! I love our little guy!! <3 Best puppy, ever!

Sunshine, coffee, finding a movie to watch, getting back into pajamas and sending a morning msg - even if I didn't get the reply.

I was referenced twice in the male pronoun by two different kids today. They're getting comfortable enough to call it as they see it. :)

Both were corrected by others but I didn't act like they did anything wrong and all was well... :)

When volunteering at the shelter tonight, a kitty who came in a couple of weeks ago after her owner died, crawled into my lap and purred and napped away for an hour.

The way my parents brought me up. I am lucky I had awesome parents.

Had some down time at work - watched the worst movie ever on Netflix - well not the (worst) - but I'm pretty sure it rates up there...RAGE w/Lorenzo Lamas (a very bad FBI thriller) - word to the wise - and I'm no Leonard Maltin - but I think I would be safe in saying - you can skip this one...

But, yes - I'm rambling...my point - there is usually something good in every movie - even Gone With the Wind (yes, that's right - not a Gone with the Wind fan - and I realize I might risk rath of those who are - but it was just (way) too long)... :)

Anyway - back to RAGE - I had to wait until the very last line - to get the one good momet or "line" ...

Girl: Hey - you know what today is?
Guy: No. No, wait - Wednesday.
Girl: It's Valentine's Day.
Guy: (confused and dazed look on face - because of course they have just blown up half a marina and several people obliterated) - Valentine's Day is in February.
Girl: Not for us.

PERFECT. - now - as you have come to expect - here is my mushy romantic thought - I feel that way - every day. It's true - (even) when I am a (bonehead) - and yes, it does happen - it happens to all of us guys - because well - (we are guys) and we just are sometimes - even when we don't mean too...BUT - if the women we love (really) love us - they forgive - (and) mine does and did - but - even with all of that...I do feel like every day is Valentine's Day with (her) ---because I feel that excitement that flutter - that (short) intake of breath each and absolutely every time - I hear her say "hi honey" ... and I turn from a Grizzly Bear - into one of those - what do you call them - care bears or something like that...can't help - she melts my heart - in oh so a good way - each and every day - and well...that's the way it should be...to my way of thinking anyway...

So, what made me smile...admittedly yesterday was a pretty crappy day - for lots of reasons - but also a good day - because how can any day be bad - when you have the love of a woman such as I have....and yes, I truly do believe I am the luckiest guy (ever). So, thank you to my wonderful lady for making me feel like every day is Valentine's Day.

Lots of other things make me smile on any given day - but nothing even compares (yes, of course) - to (her)...

and (bonus) - she promised never to make me eat meatloaf! :) - GOTTA love that! :) :) lol!

Soooo...where do I find someone like you guys???

The car is packed, the cooler full, and the kid eating Cheese Puffs (at 9:00 a.m.) in the back and thank goodness for leather seats as that "puff dust" gets EVERYWHERE!

70 degrees, sunny and on the way to the marina. The winter of my discontent is over and I have a date with a boat. :pirate-steer:
