Good morning, lovely kitchen dwellers...it has been a while since I stopped in, so I hope you all have been doing well.
The Strutt family is officially on vacation and we are getting ready to depart for Orlando for a couple of days, then up to Citrus county to see my parents. Love me some vacation time! :cheer: Mr. Strutt is mowing the lawn and Princess Katie is still asleep, but when hy is done, we are heading to our favorite St. Pete diner for the most awesome breakfast in St. Petersburg :eating:, then I need to come home and get some things done before we leave tomorrow...including giving Mr. Strutt a :buzz cut: Have a grand and glorious weekend! (f) |
Good morning kitchen dwellers :) and welcome Andrew :rrose:
:bringcoffee: I have a fresh blueberry coffeecake just coming out of the oven...smells wonderful... :linecook: Breakfast this morning is the aforementioned coffeecake, plus eggs cooked to order, bacon, crisp hashbrowns...and some fresh melon...cantaloupe, honeydew and watermelon....mmmmmm. :girleating: Enjoy your vacation Mrs. Strutt! :) Incubus...my son is rather prone to tummy troubles (it runs in the family)...and we swear by the BRAT diet when he's having issues. That's Bananas, Rice, Applesauce and Toast....some of the easiest things to digest. Hope you start feeling better soon. :rrose: Hope everyone is having a nice leisurely Saturday morning :) :lips: to my baby... |
good Morning Kitchen dwellers!! The blueberry coffeecake sounds wonderful!! Never did get to make those scones oh well don't really need them. Well its a gray Shabbat morning to all those celebrating the sabbath. Me still in pj's don't know what to do?? Gonna try and rest for a while longer. Welcome Andrew to the kitchen!!

Hello Kitchen Folk I thought i would stop in to say hello and to let all of you in on a little secret i learned a long time ago for nausea....
If you take a piece of Ginger Root and cut some up and steep it in some water, you will have a nice ginger tea that will help settle your stomach quite nicely... also wanted to let folks know that Catnip has a practical purpose for humans as well as kitties....Catnip is a natural muscle relaxant....so if you take a bit of your kitty's nip and steep it in some water..you will have a nice tea that will get rid of cramps..etc...I have used both and can attest to the miracle wonders of these natural remedies.... |

Hmm have some delcious Kosher Burekas in the oven, don't really know what they are but they look good. little triangles of cheese and dough with sesame on them. I hope they turn out alright I'm really hungry, maybe make a little coffee to go with huh?
|
WEll the dogs liked the burekas I thought they were going to be sweet but they are not. They really have no flavor but cheese!! Tried em out on the dogs first to see if they will eat em, they did so I tried one. Would have rather had a croissant with butter and jam from DD..Gosh its so fucking boring here in NJ wish there was a beach nearby so I could go swim or do something. Someone from my class is suppose to call and we are suppose to study but its 2:37pm I'm not going out tonight no way if anything I'll go to a gay bar to have a drink!! Anyway, stay cool everyone!! see ya later
|
WEll had a nice day after all took the dogs to the dog park and talked to a nice lady who had a pug dog!! The dogs had a blast and it was fun seeing them frolic in the park. Even my older dog was playing with all the kids in the park and the ball. What is everyone doing tonight on a Sat nite?? Anybody??

It's very late for me - 12.40am - and I've just arrived back home and changed into my scruffs after helping a good friend celebrate hys birthday in Manchester. Sparkle weekend was wonderful and everyone had such a fantastic time. Big up to Dutchy-boi who's birthday it was and who had the very good grace to walk me to the train station - quite un-necessarily but it was nice anyway. I hope everyone is having a wonderful weekend |

Good evening everyone :)
Just dashing in for a minute...my sweetie just got home and I've barely had any time with her the last few days, so I'm going to soak up some (virtual) love. I'll be back! :) |
Enjoy it Jo, and say hi to My bro for Me :)
|
um, what happens if i dont drink coffee? can i still visit here??
|
Well if it isn't a stranger!!
I'll be darned ~ Durrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr :D Sure your welcome here, I'm not a coffee drinker either but I'm still here :lol2: |
Good Morning Everyone,
My oldest niece is staying with me until tomorrow morning. Her brother likes to pick on her, so I brought her home with me lastnight. She had a hot chocolate party with me and my roommate lastnight, and then she came in my room and fell asleep. For breakfast today, we are going to have cinnamon rolls, coffee, juice, tea, milk, and soda's. I am off to run away and hopefully go back to sleep...Have fun! Zimmy |
Zimmy, aren't those hot chocolate party hang-overs just the worst? I remember an especially rough one I had in '07, took me three days and a fourth of a bottle of aspirin to recover.
:tease: Just kidding around. That is very sweet that you and your roommate participated in a hot chocolate party for your niece. :) |
good morning kitchen dwellers... [_]D hope you all slept well and are having a great weekend so far. http://i70.photobucket.com/albums/i8...astburrito.jpg |

Morning, everyone! We are leaving in a few hours but I wanted to stop by and wish everyone a good week before we did (f) |
Good morning everyone :)
:bringcoffee: Coffee is on...and :tea: for those that prefer tea. Welcome durrrrrrrr and you absolutely can hang out here even if you don't drink coffee. :cheesy: My sweetie doesn't drink coffee or tea, so there's always cold sodas, fruit juice and V8 in the fridge as well. :linecook: Breakfast is on...waffles, fresh strawberry topping and real whipped cream (cuz it is Sunday, after all)...eggs cooked to order, bacon and sausage, and a fresh fruit salad. :eating: I had a nice sleep-in, something that rarely happens, so I'm feeling good today and ready to tackle more packing. :) Hope you all have a great day. :rrose: :lips: sweetie...don't let them make you :seeingstars: at work baby. :stillheart: |

Good morning Brock,
I can make a mean cup of hot chocolate ask my niece. It was cute lastnight with her. I put the hot chocolate in my Princess House crystal mugs and ate chocolate chip cookies. Have fun today, Zimmy Quote:

Good MOrning all kitcheners!! It's a late start for me too. Slept in late with the dogs, took them to the dog park yesterday I think they are beat!! Zimmy sounds like a nice cup o hot chocolate you got there. JO waffles are just what I wanted this morning with strawberries and whipped cream. Had an awesome dessert from Whole Foods in Paramus, NJ, they have a dessert bar I couldn't believe my eyes!! Wow I was in heaven. Anyway suffice it to say I had the chocolate cake with whipped cream on top and it was good. I also had the lamb kebab with hummus and tahini dressing (sp?). Have much homework to do today if I ever wake up?:seeingstars:
|
Duurrrrrrrrr how ab out some ice tea?? .... http://i120.photobucket.com/albums/o...955/icetea.jpg and have some fresh fruit......... http://i120.photobucket.com/albums/o...7aa960b4ff.jpghttp://i120.photobucket.com/albums/o...1955/fruit.jpg |

|

|
gettting ready for dinner soon and ready for that god damn internship where I do nothing!! Hope everyone's day was productive and eventful. Never made it to the city too tired to go to a butch-femme social, so sad :( could have used a drink for real!!
|
Good evening all :)
It's :bbq: for dinner tonight...london broil, chicken kabobs with onion, peppers and cherry tomato...corn on the cob...potato salad....mmmmmm :girleating: Okay kitchen friends...big request here... I just got an email from the realtor saying the bank just did their appraisal, which means the paperwork is now finally on the correct desk and moving forward...so I could use all your good energy, prayers, white light...whatever ya got! :rrose: We're hoping to get approval of our offer and a successful closing, so I can get moved down to my sweetie. :cheesy: Hope you've all had a wonderful Sunday. My mother called this morning and wanted to take me to lunch...so we hit the salad bar at Ruby Tuesday's, did some shopping, then finished hauling wood out of my basement and up to the curb (that's how I recycle :) ). Time to sit and relax a little now. :lips: baby :stillheart: |

The wood was lumber and leftover molding from my office renovation. I had piled it all in the basement rather than hauling it out into the snow, and it had been sitting there ever since. :seeingstars: I live on a busy street, and I have found that I can put virtually anything out at the curb and someone will stop and pick it up. I think of it as the ultimate recycling....out of my way and into the hands of someone who can use it. :) |
OH so you can put anything on the street and someone will pick it up that's nice to know!! I'm going to watch some tv and then its bedtime for me..been very tired lately and don't know what it is attributed to? I guess being on 1200 calories a day for so long takes a toll on the body or its school for a year that has been intense but all I know is that its bedtime early for me.
