How I hated wearing the girlie white skates!

I longed for either hockey skates or the black ones!

I was lucky to have my own roller skates, both types....I LOVED to roller skate. I went often to Skate Night, held on Monday's and it was a wonderful part of my growing up years..... :)

My mom would save her empty spools of thread all year long so that come Christmas time, she could keep us occupied by making ornaments for the tree.
