At Pearl River: some china to complement my everyday set of dishes (two small bowls and plates, two medium bowls and plates, two soup spoons, in a Japanese pattern of branches of cherry blossom on pale ice blue), two medium serving wooden spoons and two small ones (coconut wood), pickled ginger, raw sugar cubes.
At Sur la Table: icing sugar, liquid glycerin, little chocolate truffle paper cups in festive colours, 6 raspberry blown glass ornaments, one Eiffel Tower blown glass ornament (ornaments 50% off). At the Housing Works Bookstore/Café: a copy of "Eloise takes a Bawth", signed by illustrator (first edition) for $7.20, a copy of "Luxe Knits: the accessories", brand new, for $10.40, two bottles of decorative read ink from France for $1.00 each. so this is something i NEVER do...until today! the girls and i got some scratcher tickets for christmas and all together we won $27. YAY! so i took them to safeway to redeem them and decided to spend another $3 on three more scratchers. and get this, i won $100 on one and $10 on the other!! i was so excited. until i walked outside and watched an old lady slam her car door into my car door leaving a dent the size of my hand. :( you can't win 'em all, i 'spose.

jenn that sounds like a great haul...hope u had fun :P ....i love the dollarstore too! ...its great when you need a lot and are working with a tight budget.....but not so good if you just wanna browse and only have a dollar.....that's just a rotten tease ;)

Today I donated to a local no kill animal sanctuary,
www.rikkisrefuge.org. They have a generous donor that is matching donations till the end of the year. Rikki's Refuge is a great place and they can definitely use every penny they get to help the animals. The other thing that I bought is a Keurig coffee brewer. My aunt got one for Christmas and I decided that Laerkin and I needed one for our home. :D |

Then cleaning supplyes. Stoped byt the annimal shelter to check out for a possable new fur kid.they were colsed. Came home and did laundry and I am now drying clothes. Gonna fix dinner in a while...I think. |
