Uncle Big Boy aka Santa
 

This is one of the first Santa Clauses I knew: My uncle Big Boy.

He was my mama's youngest brother and sometimes he'd dress up as Santa.

I was disappointed the first time I saw him as Santa until mama explained that Santa couldn't be everywhere at one time so he often sent out his "helpers" to make sure no one was left out. I could work with that and loved sitting on his lap to tell him what I wanted for Christmas.

He had a rough voice. Sounded like he drank a lot of whiskey and smoked a lot of cigarettes. He didn't do either. He was large, strong, handsome, and very gentle. He was a sweetie.

Uncle Big Boy is on my mind this morning.

There was this one girl I saw online (hell, it was something like 2-3 years ago..fuck). Anyway, I still can't get her out of my head. Everyone else just seems like a 2 compared to her. I tried messaging her but she must have either given up on the site, or found a date, and I haven't seen her since. I can't find anyone else like her.

Currently on my mind... Venturing out into the exciting world of dating... Why the heck did all the decent dating sites turn into "tinder" wanna-bes where you have to swipe/check yes and have a match based on looks alone in order to even message someone??? Looks aren't my first priority ya know...

The one I use I feel like is going that way. You can still read a person's bio, but the only way to reply to a person is to "like" them back.

How lucky I am. I had a crappy day and I got to come home to someone who loves me and strives to make every day a good one.

Do you realize that some people are simply toxic? Whether they be current partners, friends, or even coworkers... Some people are simply so toxic to you that they can physically affect you. You don't have to keep them ya know... (watching a friend fail mentally and physically... trying to get her to see reason).

Tonight is beggars night and it is raining. I don't think my nephews will mind but being cold and wet doesn't sound appealing to me.

I don't want to be seen as the Scrooge of Halloween in J's eyes so I caved and wound up buying candy - Reese's peanut butter cups and a bunch of mini Mounds bars. That way if it proves I bought too much candy the leftovers will be something I like. So there wouldn't be a lot left over after Halloween to tempt me, I ate a bunch of it yesterday.

Why... Just why are they all going that way? Have we became such a conceded generation of people that we must find someone attractive on 1st glance to start up a conversation??

I don't know anyone who thinks like that ~ maybe it's an age thing ! Talk to someone over 30 lol might help when wanting a connection.

I got a call from the Union tonight asking if I could help set up and strike a Drake concert!!

I feel like OMG it is November! I have no plan for Thanksgiving. My report went public so I am traveling Texas to put on my show.

I have a date for dinner and the Opera with my ex next weekend. Other than that I will be living in hotels. Ugh.
