Ummmmmmmmmmmmmm.....

I am thinking either I am having flashbacks from activities in the mid 70's

OR

there is a technical problem with the emoticon list.

I click on it and it flickers and jumps around like the Willy Wonka train scene!

No Jimi Hendrix music......but, I swear I've seen this before..............

Send help. Or chocolate chip cookies.

I'm going back in..............................

Mine's okay. Maybe you should play some Hendrix and see what happens.

Mine is still doing it.
Obviously, I am having some kind of puter melt down.

BTW..........I WAS listening to all kinds of YES music on here this morning (the studly OUTLAW whom I love announced she is taking me to a YES concert in two weeks for my B'day, so I am all excited!!!), so I wonder if it is a CONTACT HIGH.......? LOL

I'll ride it out and then ask for someone to look at my puter if it doesn't stop.

Speaking of smilie's does it annoy others that they change positions all of the time? I understand it is the nature of the beast (program), but....

...IF for any reason that changes (and they stop moving about), I suggest that the zombie smilie stay on the small side board b/c it is the most used smilie around, I think!

Don't have that option either. Getting to know the symbols for your most commonly used smilies is one option. Another is printing out the list.

For the "zombie" symbol all you need is a : and a | or a : with the word blink and followed by another :

These combinations make :| and

Why must the emoticons move around? :|

Because vBulletin wants to ensure variety for everyone.

Nope. We either have random or static and static would just default to the basic icons (it's not like I could select one group a month to be the ones to the right of the edit box).

With the random it allows for different icons to appear so people can see what's there. The downside is that it randomizes within the groups.

The Fish always swims! Apparently her emoticons do as well. :D

Ok, this not being able to edit my visitor messages really sucks ass. I never write ANYTHING right the first time (I edit like every post I write..I am just ninja quick about it).

Isn't there a way for a person to be able to edit just their own visitor messages (meaning, the ones they write)?

OS Butch 03-25-2011 11:08 PM

Ok, I am confused. On my user CP, I use to see thanked Post....I now see that folks can put comments there....How do they do that and how do I respond? Are those things visible to everyone or just me?

Thank you,
OSB

Look to the bottom of the avatar box where the three symbols are. Click on the scale (middle of the three). A box comes up that you can write in.

One can do a rep and then a thanks. But, you can't do a thanks and then a rep.

You can respond by PM or VM (visitor message).

Only you can see the reps (except Admin, of course).

As a side note, writing mean reps is against the TOS (not that you would, just letting you know).

Yes...and only you can see them. They aren't visible to anyone else. :)
If you want to respond to them, you need to either post on their visitor page (which is public) or send a PM (private). :)

Ohh, if only people weren't abusing that privilege by writing shitty things and then going back and editing them 20 minutes later!

Or yanno, find a post the other person has made and rep them. That's also private, and pretty easy if they post in the same thread you do. :cheesy:
