Transgender Day of Remembrance
Saturday, November 20th 6:30 pm 301 W. 2nd Street Austin 78767 We live in times more sensitive than ever to hatred based violence. Over the last decade, more than one person per month has died due to transgender-based hate or prejudice, regardless of any other factors in their lives. This trend shows no sign of abating. Many of these crimes remain unreported and unsolved. With this in mind we invite you to please stand with us in solidarity Saturday, November 20, 2010 at 6:30 pm on the steps of City Hall. Whoa. I just spent the entire day off doing condo stuff. I kidnapped Gemme at 10 am and didn't return her until 2:30. :)
We didn't do Zhi but we did do Best Buy, Sherwin Willams, Lacks, Savers and then lunch at Souper Salad. Then I dropped her off, came home, walked the dogs and headed out to Home Depot to get some more information on appliances and counter tops. I got Popeye's on the way home. I've walked the dogs twice since then. I'm wiped out. Still have stuff to do. Laundry can wait until tomorrow...or Wednesday. I think I can make it work until then. No really. :| |

We'll have champagne and snacks, you can bring what you want to drink if you want more than a couple (few) glasses of champagne. Date: Ummmm Time: 8:00pm till 2011 Location: PM me if you don't already know We don't want anyone driving home if they've had more than a couple drinks, or if they're afraid of all the drunks on the road that night. We have plenty of comfy sleeping room plus air mattress and sleeping bags, so bring your toothbrush (and maybe give us a heads up) if you think you might want to make it a sleepover. Hey, we even have extra toothbrushes. You can be pretty sure they haven't been used for some heinous cleaning task. Whee! |

We have all sorts of reasons to live and love in Austin. Great parties from south Austin to Lockhart to Cedar Park. Fun friends to go grab a late snack or an early morning cup of coffee.
Today I was reminded yet again of why Austin is my final home. Ashton, Wil and Eshe--at the drop of a hat--showed up in south Austin to help me get my new couch and love seat. I love you guys. Thanks so much for being there and doing all that for me. You're the best!:praying: |
Howdy folks anyone interestd in going to San Antonino to meet up with Sassybren, Sassybren Jr, and canmarielan for dinner and then on to th river walk for boat ride to see the christmas lights. We set sail for SA 330pm. so as to not keep the folks that have to work Monday out too late.
