I'm in the process of matriculating into an MSW program and have been moonlighting as a volunteer at various social service agencies, looking for a good fit for graduate service work (while working 4 days a week with really long hours on those days).


I changed my hairstyle (I straightened my curls out) and got tons of compliments today.


I'm getting new glasses soon - Can't wait until I get to pick them up!
(I chose BeBe frames - they are so flippin sexy!!!)


I've lost 24 pounds since my birthday.
(I hope to lose another 24 by Christmas/New Years)

1. I am constantly singing songs to my dogs.... I change the lyrics to popular songs to match the situation.

2. I have unruly eyebrows that need to be waxed every week... Lol :-D

3. My big toenail on my left foot fell off after I forced a pair of heels on my foot that didn't fit and danced all night... Luckily I have a prosthetic toe nail now. After a year, it's half way grown back!! Yaya!

4. I have 13 tattoos.... Mostly hidden!

5. I buy stuff on clearance racks at Nordstroms Rack, Off 5th, Neiman Marcus Last Call, Barneys... Etc and sell it on EBay! Fun way to earn extra money :-) but, sometimes I keep it... Eek!

I like the freedom of living alone.

I am addicted to Project Runway.

There isn't a wall in my home that doesn't have at least one picture of a friend or family member.

I am excited to be moving to the PNW this spring.

I can't stand to have white walls in my home. I need color.

Five things...here we go

1. I'm an electronics snob, I check consumer reports before buying large purchase items.
2. I drive like a maniac when I'm alone of course. I push every car I have owned to it's limits..top speed, how fast around curves and corners, rain..snow..push it through it all. If I get in an emergency situation I know what it can and can't do!
3. I'm anal about the condition of my car but have gotten away from that the last 6 months.
4. I love cars! Duh right! I would own several if I had the money.
5. I like peanutbutter and mayonnaise sandwiches..on occasion now since they are fattening as hell! My mom always made them for me so it grosses you out..take it up with my mom..if you dare! Yes Aussiebaby it does look like peanutbutter and jizz but good all the same! Lol!

Family:
-I have a 15 year old daughter. She is my best friend.
-I was very shy when younger, now the opposite.
-I was raised by my mother and grandmother. My mother was an alcoholic and died young when she was 45. I know who my dad is, but never met him. I saw both my gram and mom die and got to tell both of them goodbye.
-I prefer dogs to cats as pets and only had cats when they were my partners.
-I have 2 brothers younger. the middle one died from seizures. we were not close.

hmmm....I have had peanut butter, mashed bananas with mayo in it, BUT mayo and PB....not so sure...but if you like it...have at it...lol...I guess it was the reference to "jizz"...TMI...but that is why we are all so unique....smiles...
Someone else posted someplace on the threads about their affection of peanut butter and mustard...now that I have never heard of before. I don't like mustard at all..on anything...but, again..different strokes....smiles

Food:

I like dark amber beers. When I mix drinks or have tequila I'm one to throw up an hour or two later and not wait to have the hangover the next morning. haha. I do not like the smell of tequila or tuaca! .. nor do I like the smell of alcohol on people as it comes out of their pores. : / *puke*

Mexican is my favorite food of all time. Lobster and Crab Legs comes a close 2nd. I also like Chinese, and Italian.

My favorite candy bars are kit kat, caramelos, butterfingers, and hersheys with almonds. I eat lots of gummy bears!

I used to drink lots of Pepsi but now it's Pepsi Max when I do have soda.

I drink my coffee black, the stronger the better. At Starbucks I always get plain coffee Frap.

1- First time I ever flew alone was last summer to meet my girl (f)
2- I watch Big Bang Theory and makes me laugh everytime. :superfunny:
3- I use to watch Grey's anatomy but missed all of last season :(
4- I am shy/don't talk much when in new situation/new people
5- I played basketball from age 15 to 40 (high school then women's league) but had to stop because of home circumstances.

That's 5 for now ;)

1. that as a child I was terrified to ride in a car over a bridge. driving over a bridge would often result in not only me freaking out, but also me trying to get out of the moving car. :runforhills: :bolt:

2. also, as a child and speaking of cars... I was about 4 and locked myself into the primo sports car in a car dealership, accidently, of course, and then went into a snot flying, smearing, horn blowing, screaming flailing meltdown thinking that because I couldn't get out of the car that they were going to sell me and I would never see my Mum again. :alieninjar: :crybaby:

3. continuing on... I injured myself on an exercise bicycle when I was about 5. I did this so severely that I had to go to emergency and was on crutches for several weeks following. :bicycle:

4. in 4th grade I almost electrocuted myself when I had taken the old bell out of the old phone (remember the big clunky hardwired desk-phones people? with the schoolbell style, actual bell ringer?), snuck it to class with me... and managed to get myself over to the rest area and wall socket alone. I stuck the bare wires in, one to each side of the socket. The bell did not ring, but I did. :chemist: :callme:

5. After all of this, I still wondered for any years why my Mum didn't have more children. :flyingpig:

1) I havent had cable for almost four years now> I rarely watch anything on the telly. If I want to watch something, i go to hulu. The exception to that is the Big Bang Theory

2) Starting October 1st I am going on a vegetarian lifestyle and am going to actually do a 20 day cleansing doing only home made juice. Doctor approved

3) I am having major repair surgery on my right shoulder in January. I cannot lift my arm above my shoulder anymore. It is frozen. And the ligaments and tendons are needing reattached in certain areas. More surgery. Imagine that...

4) I dream in full color and i have serial dreams...they build upon one another. And I have dozens of dreams I have dreamt all my life. Over and over again.

5) my daughter has branched out and is now professionally doing animal communication, past life regression readings and card readings and basic psychic mediumship work. All my life I carefully guarded this part of her and taught her to protect it herself, so that someday she would be able to do this. Of all the things I did right as a parent, this is the one area I am the most proud of and am so glad it worked...

1. Going for a ride in the country can make me giddy with excitement.

2. In recent years, I tend to wake up at 3 or 4 am and stay awake for about an hour. This wrecks havoc on my alertness.

3. I think of myself as slimmer than I am, and I'm usually surprised to see myself in photos. This is a switch from the past. I think my self-esteem is actually higher now.

4. Autumn is my favorite time of year.

5. I love my job, but it causes me a lot of anxiety as it's so unstructured. I have been looking for something with set hours and more responsibility for two years, but I haven't found it.

I love music,just about any kind but rap and heavy metla.
I really like old fashion down home mountain music right along with the fine cajun music down south of hear...it has its own home style that cant be found any onther place.
I bought a banjo and am takeing lessons to learn how to play the thing.
On nights I cant sleep (like now) I often turn on the back light and play basket ball by myself,my neaighbors just reall dig that.
I can lipsinc all of Jerry Lee Louis songs right downt to the last piano note.
