Merlin Olsen died yesterday
I just heard this news. I remember him from being a Hall of Fame Def. Lineman. Plus he was on TV like "Little House on the Prairie" and another show of the same kind. And he was also working on the weekends as a sports announcer. He was just 69 yo, and died from Mesothelioma. He lives behind a wife, and 3 kids. I am blown away with this news. |

how much I love the quietness of my life. Being still and Present with and to myself. Listening to the rain as I type and read and reach through my laptop. Surrounded by things that have so much meaning to me..the last horse halter on my wall. The baby doll my daughter clung to as a child. The aroma of decaf coffee that I chose to use now instead of caffinated, to honor and heal my body's health. The softness of a candle burning in the grey of mid day. The blanket received from an old lover who still continues to nurture me even though together, we could not do that for each. The soft breathing of my old dog and the wheezy sleepy breathing of the old cat Mr Smitty. Joy does not have to have a parade. Sometimes it comes in the gentleness of one's life...
