I was honored to be the ASL interpreter for the Rally and celebration in Hillcrest yesterday! And, someone captured my picture while signing EQUALITY! It was perfect!!!

"Hey Kohl, there's this special on HBO tonight about coming out in America. Thought you might want to check it out." I almost said "Gee thanks dad, but I've already come out in America." Instead I said " Cool, thanks Pop. I'll check it out." My dad's support makes me smile |

Thinking that another vacation starts tomorrow when I get off work. I CAN'T WAIT !!! My fav week of the year!!! I am sure it will be an amazing adventure!!!!

Thinking that in 13 hours I will be kissing her! Thinking about how excited I am to meet her and kiss her. Her and I talking throughout the day. Knowing she is thinking of me too.

Waking up knowing in a few minutes I will be on my way to see her. Listening to her stall on the phone. Knowing in a couple hours we will be kissing!

Nothing thus far....but I was happy to have slept til almost 7 today...yay me. ALthough i have to wonder what I bothered to get up for....yep..its that kind of day....

What made me smile today....
Knowing I have a pretty kick ass life in london. I always realize this after I spend time with my family in the states. Oh and the smile on my face gets bigger and bigger knowing I wont have to deal with my brother in law for another year or maybe even longer. Not nice having your sister tell you on the day you are leaving, that your bother in law did not like it that you were staying with them for a month because it messed with his daily routine! Yes, that is true. Isn't family just fab!? |

We went to a wedding today. It was for my son's fiancee's dad who is a long time friend of Ethan. The wedding was held in a beautiful little plantation, and it was the shortest ceremony i have ever seen, but it was really nice. After the ceremony we went to the reception where there was good food and good fellowship. They had the Bride's and Groom's first dance, then the Bride danced with her Dad. She is a lil petite thing, and when she danced with her dad, she kicked her shoes off and climbed upon his feet as they danced. i thought that was precious. There was the other normal festivities and cake cutting and stuff buttttt
The biggest thing that put a smile on my face was.. during an open slow dance, Ethan took my hand and led me to a spot while in his wheel chair, stood up and grabbed ahold of me, and we danced. We danced for most of the song before he had to sit down. but.. we.. danced! First time in public. |
The home we are putting together, the live we share, the ease of our time together. All the planning, waiting, dreaming.... has paid off.

I'm smiling because I had a very enjoyable time relaxing at a quaint coffee shop this morning and Just realized that I began to open up and talk freely with someone without feeling awkward or uncomfortable or wanting to apologize or hide who I am. She makes me want to tear down my walls and I don't know why. I guess that's not a bad thing, regardless of... Well, just regardless...
