Spending time with her today. Her being there for me. Being with a real girl that knows how to calm this Daddy. Knowing in two weeks I will be home with her.

Talking to some friends on the phone. I have been reconnecting socially, and it feels great.

Waking up to a text and email from her. Calling her as soon as I woke to see where she was on the road. Talking to her as she was driving.......wishing she was driving here. Knowing in two weeks I will be sitting on her porch waiting for her to come home. Hearing her call me Daddy and her being my girl.

The editor and chief at the paper is back from this year's stint on the TransAmerica bicycle ride. Hooray for a return to structure. The office was kind of a mess without him.
I got a package containing a Sharktopus plush and special edition Doctor Who stamps. Friends in other countries rule. And Squishy and I slept until noon today. |
After I got my hair cut and coloured (which made me smile),
I went to visit a friend of my sister's to pick up a used computer. She's gay and I thought about asking her for a date once, but thought it might be too weird so I chickened out. But it was nice visiting with her today. :) |

I opened the nicest message this morning that made smile so big. It was a very nice beginning to the day.

my kitten curling up on my arm just so he could watch me play some facebook game, i could almost see him smiling, he was purring so loud!

Great weather today, cool breeze which is rare in the summertime in Tx. Or so I think :| An intriguing and delightful welcome distraction Good friends.. and a promise of pot roast! yep i'm all grins! |
Waking up and calling her. Listening to her talk to me as she was driving. Her being a good girl.

Going out to the garden after days away (due to work, and the rain) and finding many happy surprises! Beans! And lots of them! Peas! Not as many...but I will take what I can get! Flowers on the zucchini/summer squash! Many tomatoes....still green...but the potential for even more...if the flowers on the plants are any indication.... :)
Also.... My morning client....she is just so lovely....and endlessly surprises me with moments of complete lucidity and extreme insight.... (f) |

and random text message from a person who use to cut my hair years ago now cuts my moms hair. Its just a small world. |

Waking up knowing she is my girl. Being blessed with happiness. I have never been this happy or in love in my life. She makes me smile with thoughts of her.

i currently have a huge smile on my face because my kitten came home today! he was gone for exactly 24 hours! I left food out this afternoon and my roomie knocked on my door to tell me they saw him on our porch. I ran down to investigate and he had lodged himself up inside, the underside of my neighbors motor. I brought him some food and he finally came out. Today was a good day!

Not feeling old, waking up with Her Furriness snuggled right up against me, as soon as I opened my eyes she purred, tucked her nose back under her paw and went back to sleep. Afternoon at the beach then an evening meal with my family. Spent yesterday with my family who live up in Scotland. Good times.

Today I am celebrating 13 years in recovery. Waking up to messages from my girl. Knowing we do recover! Staying on the phone with her way too late last night! Knowing I will be seeing her soon!
