Being asked to volunteer to give a presentation, and after politely declining because I volunteered last year (and it should be someone else's turn)...basically being voluntold that I was going to do it anyway.

Alrighty, then. So I never really had a choice to begin with, did I?

The boss is equally as pissed and did, thankfully, offer to help me with it. We can't exactly refuse.

I loathe public speaking. See if I ever volunteer to do that again. :whine:

my sister and her junky husband, repeatedly calling me on facebook messenger and my personal number. I have blocked them but they call me from other numbers over and over.

I am getting way tired of this shit and am tempted to call the cops but I am not sure that's going to do any good.

Not pissed really just annoyed! My new job was supposed to have my direct deposit set up by now, but when I called the bank this morning my paycheck was not there. Now I have to make a special trip to work to get my check and go put it in the bank. Not that my job is far away (20 min) but I had other plans today that I now had to rearrange.

Not being appreciated and taken for granted. Pisses me off to no end.

Now is not the time to test me or whatever this is. Not now.

Did I read the headline correctly before I quickly killed the link and went to local weather ...he is granting permission to pardon himself????? Say wtf? News can only report about his shit-messes because that is the total summation of Donald Trump. One big on-going shit-mess! He sickens me to my core!

He is having his lawyers look into it.

Washington Post did a story today with answers to that (yes, he kind of could do it, pardon himself and everyone else but only related to deeds done in WA, DC) and also if he could fire the special counsel (yes, he could do it) but I wasn't up to posting the whole article because it was long and there are variables.

After sending out a "special remediator" last week who promised "to make it right" and made this huge plan of how they were and when they are going to fix things including giving us a few small 'next steps' instructions regarding the pedestal sink and fixtures and working alongside the carpenter to replace the floor and kitchen ceiling.... the guy seems to feel he doesn't need to return calls or texts or answer questions that have developed since we met (regarding time lines, mold inspection/clean up and tile install) and has decided it was best to FINALLY return my texts at nearly midnight three days later with a very condescending, patronizing tone with "I don't see why we need to talk..I thought we left with the plan for the carpenter to call me the day before he does the floor...I'm very overwhelmed with work right now".
My response was not what he wanted to hear. You don't give me instructions to contact you and then tell me you don't have time to help or answer questions.

They will not like how this works out for them.

The fire alarm chirp at 6:00 am. One of the five fire alarms wants a new battery and is chirpping. I go stand in the hall to find out which alarm needs the battery and no chirp then I sit down and it chirps. Ugh, I will change all the batteries later today but for now my rest is interupted.

Hate my fire alarms/smoke detectors so much when they chirp (wants new battery) or go off when I'm trying to fry something, that I took them down and removed the batteries.

Not recommended. Don't want anyone to get hurt.

Next Friday I am taking a road trip and much needed vacation (praise the lawd!) to go visit my best friend, her husband, and their little girl in Indiana. We only get to see one another once or twice a year. When we do get to visit, our time together is quite limited because we have to plan around their visiting with her mom and other family while they are here. Often, her mom will tag along with us. Not a big deal.

It will be about an 8 hour drive for me, and I have plans to take a side trip on the way home to see some fall foliage. I’ve been long anticipating the therapeutic nature of a solo road trip...just me, the open roads, and plenty of good music.

This morning I got a call from my best friend’s mother, who lives in the same town as I. She had just spoken to my friend who told her about my upcoming visit, and she proceeded to invite herself along on the trip with me! Not only did she invite herself along, but she didn’t even want me to tell my best friend that she was coming with me and wanted her presence to be a “surprise” for them when we showed up together! She was pretty pushy about it.

I was diplomatically able to tell her “no” without hurting her feelings too much, but I’m still a bit irked and surprised that she even put me on the spot like that. It was awkward. I’ve yet to mention this conversation to my friend. It will be interesting to hear her reaction when I do.
