I did it. Canadian Thanksgiving was in October. If we wait till November we risk being thankful for severe frostbite.

Going to visit a week "there".....(way "up" there...see...lol...

Migration patterns
Have decided to shake things up this Thanksgiving and head down to the Fl. Keys for the week. The teen wants to visit a marine research institute and discuss the effects of cello music on the growth of coral. She is really into coral conservation....and indigenous carnivorous plants. Gotta' diversify. I told her as long as I get some time on a sailboat I'm game for anything.
So, no turkey and fixings for us. Thinking more along the lines of grouper and oysters and frou frou drinks with little umbrellas. Katniss~~(so happy to do something different this year!) |
I will be driving about 1900 miles from Thursday till Sunday. I'm thinking maybe a little dinner this weekend. Haven't planned it yet we will see
|
We are going over to my Dads house, the whole family, cousins, aunts, 2nd cousins. Going to have a big massive dinner and hang out with family, so very excited.
|
i found a place to Volunteer and now my sister is coming in late in the day, we will just hang out.
|
I'll be working four hours and getting paid for eight, I like that! Afterwards I think it will be a movie and Chinese.
|
We usually get together at my parents but they had their kitchen redone back in October and it kept dragging on. Long story short they still don't have a working kitchen so looks like we're going to my brother's house. I'm bummed cause my brother who lives in Wisconsin isn't coming since he just started a new job. But otherwise should be good since I'm not working until Sunday. :)

We always have Thanksgiving with my aunt and uncle.
Red does most of the cooking accept the garlic mashed potatoes that my uncle has always made. Menu Turkey Mashed Potatoes Gravy Dressing Greenbean Casserole Baked Beans (its an Okie thing) Candied Yams Pecan Pie Pumlpkin Pie The only thing I make is my grannies famous yeast rolls. I was the only one in my family that took the time to see just how much a pnich of this and a dash of that really is :-). She would be 115 if she were alive today. Wishing all of you a joyful holiday season filled with love and peace. Okie & Red |

I will be with ALL of my family over the span of the week.
SO excited! |
We are having a family gathering and massive feast at my Dad's house. It will be the first holiday since his passing, and the last Thanksgiving we have in the house since we are planning to put it on the market later next year.
It will be good to fill the house with lots of love, family, and memories. Plus the food is going to be amazing, bright_arrow makes an AMAZING pumpkin pie. Seriously, its worth every single bite. |
Hopefully a family reunion with cousins, Aunts, and Uncles. We're trying to find a block of hotel rooms that can accommodate two adult cousins who need wheelchairs and suites for the younger cousins to have slumber parties in.
