Hate when I take a big drink of coffee , only to realize it's now cold, and I was expecting it to be hot. AAAAHHHH I can't spit it out fast enough.

When someone out bids you at auctions grrrrrrrr. See when I had money I didn't have to worry about that. If I wanted it nobody out bid me.

When you ask the apartment complex to send maintenance to repair the running toilet in the guest bath and their "repair" is worse than the original problem!

Now I have a wierd smell in the house and every hour or so the toilet in the guest bath makes a whooshing noise like air is being let out of something.

You're not really sure if you should have said anything to clarify, or is it in your best interest to wait it out?...(and let it work itself out!)

Trying not to get a mental image of Cody removing a robe that's been duct taped on... OUCH!

Soft*Silver 11-22-2010 08:46 PM

dont you hate it when your holiday plans explode? I am NOT going to be able to go to my relatives out of state. Dammit. DAMMIT! My car's check engine light came on. Not driving it 4-5 hours to get stranded on the freeway w/out triple A. Crap. I guess being with my sister and her clan for the holidays will do....I love her dearly...too

bigbutchmistie 11-22-2010 09:26 PM

Your ex and her current gf pull you to the side to critique your look. And tell you to grow your hair out based on the halloween outfit. Not all the way long but longer... I thought I had good hair now :) I do get compliments. Oh well what the hell, give it try. if not I can always cut it back off, right?

Soon 11-22-2010 09:48 PM

You have plans--that you have been looking forward to for weeks--and they don't work out?

Miss Scarlett 11-23-2010 08:42 PM

You come home expecting maintenance to have corrected the plumbing problem only to learn that while the bad smell is gone the toilet still makes that wooshing noise - like air brakes.

Can't tell if they really replaced the seal or just caulked around the base. The work order alleges the job took 30 min. Am I wrong for being somewhat skeptical?

JAGG 11-24-2010 08:01 PM

burised and battered

Don't you hate it when you injury a part of your body, like your knee cap, and everytime you climb in your car you wack it in on the dash board, or everytime you close the shower door it hits that very spot.

Yes! Or when you have a chipped nail and snag it on anything and everything.

Can't say I have ever had that happen but I know plenty who have, and it must be painful.

Don't hate it when you are waiting for someone to pass by so you can continue on and they STOP right in your way!

Don't you hate it when your cat spends about 10 minutes staring at the wall, then meows, stands on her back legs and tries to reach for something unseen...

If it really is making that noise , it is probably because they shut the water off to disconnect the stool and replace the wax ring, now there is air in the lines . Keep flushing it and run your sink water and shower for a little bit , that usually pushes the air out. It should not take more than 15 min to 30 min to replace a wax ring so the work order is accurate especially if they caulked the base for a more finished look. If it is an apartment complex, they did the work, because without a new wax ring your stool will leak through the floor and down into what ever is below. We are not talking about clean fresh water, we are talking about what you are flushing . It will damage the wood and weaken and rot the framing etc... so they wouldn't cheat you on that one, it would be way more costly to them if they did.
I don't know when you are hearing air brakes. When you flush it, or when the tank is filling up? If it's when the tank is filling up it could be several things. Air as I mentioned early if it is air in the line it will eventually fix itself, or the pipes that the water flows through are different sizes and the pressure is very strong by the time it reaches your toilet line which is usually 3/8 inch if the copper pipe is 1/2 in and flows into the smaller one and the water pressure in your apartment is relatively strong it will cause that sound, and even seem to shake the toilet a little. Which may have caused the wax ring to unseat itself to begin with, hard to say without seeing it for myself. You can check and make sure the shut off valve is fully opened, then turn the water on in your kitchen then turn it on in a few more places like the tub and shower, wait a few sec and while everything is running flush the toilet, the water pressure should be lessened by the running water and so you won't hear the air brakes or at least the sound will be reduced. If that is the case then, really you just have real good water pressure. Which is better than barely having water pressure. Or if that test fails to give you an answer, it might be the type of float in the tank. It could be the needle and seat that move up and down inside the floation device are crusted in lime deposits , and a new float will fix the problem anyway hope that helped.

Don't you hate it when you impatiently press the french press too soon? I really hate that. Do you suffer the weak coffee or wait even longer for a new batch?

Wow, that's a lot of information. Thank you so very much. I really appreciate this and will try running the water. The air sound is every couple of hours or so.

I hate it when the woman across the street starts blowing leaves at 7am!!! And it has been everyday this week!

I hated it when I started cooking at 4 am and the drain pipe under the sink started leaking. When cooking a meal for Thanksgiving there is a lot of washing up to do; hands (repeatedly) veggies, pans and bowls that have been sitting for awhile, bowls for prep work, etc. Have a bucket under the sink now till I can find someone to fix it. Where is JAGG when needed? LOL

JAGG 11-29-2010 05:59 PM

hate it

Don't you hate it when, you can't wake up, and drag around all day, so drowsy. All you can think about is going home and going to bed. Then you finally get home, crawl into bed and.... all of a sudden you are wide awake. The most alert you've been all day.
