We gave our time and company to a dear family friend whose husband is dying of lung cancer. He only has a couple months to live and his wife needed to talk and vent.

I gave a piece of my mind to American Airlines! (ya like that'll do any good)

I have some of my energy to others that needed a hand.

I gave myself permission to just relax tonight and to worry about tomorrow only when it gets here.

I gave too much energy to clients today. Drained and frazzled me. Lesson in balance.

I gave patience to a situation that could have escalated and gone bad fast had I not.

I gave belly rubs to my cats.

I gave a hug to someone I haven't seen in a few months, and they hugged me right back. Such a good feeling, getting a warm and welcoming hug.

I gave my time and attention to someone who has no one.

I felt blessed to be able to do it, so I gave thanks to God for the energy to give help to someone other than myself or my immediate family.

I did assessments for some seriously impaired clients today.

I don't usually toot my own horn but a co-worker told me after I saw one that could barely navigate due to intoxication, "I really admire you for the way you deal with the clients. I don't know that I could be so patient".

It made me feel good because I am really patient, no matter how they behave.

I gave my time to my son's sick, pregnant girlfriend.

I have my time to my stepdaughter, who reached out to her Mom and me today.

I gave extra time to a dog at the kennel that is grieving for the loss of her littermate. I also gave an ear to my chatty neighbor, and gave my spouse extra tlc since she isn't doing well.:hangloose:

My company suports the United Way and we have a huge campaign every year. I gave for 22 yrs, then stopped for various reasons.

This year they gave us 9 different organizations besides the UW to chose from that is direct donation and doesn't go threw the UW at all.

I gave my weekly deductible donation to hospice and palliative care for my county

I gave gas money to a friend, but she gave it right back to me, then when I gave it again...she shoved it back at me and said "you gave it to me, now it's MINE and I get to do with it whatever I want, so here, take it!".... She wouldn't take no for an answer.

I gave high compliments to my nurse today and let her know how important she is and, if it wasn't for her work and dedication over the past two (plus) years, the community she serves would feel a huge loss.

I gave a huge bag of well-cared-for professional business clothes to the Boutique that helps support the Women's shelter here. They, in turn, give vouchers to women that are in need of interview outfits or business suits.

I am bumping this thread.
My grocery store takes donations for our local food bank and I like to support that bank.

I like to smile and say howdy or good day to people when I am out and about. A lot of people (like me) live alone so a smile and greeting feels nice.

This week in preparing for company we've been doing extensive spring cleaning!

We gave ladies purses, shoes, and clothes to a local women's shelter. We donated household goods to Goodwill!

As I was leaving the diner last night, I stopped one of the waitresses and handed her 4 "gold" $1 coins. I told her to put them in her grand daughters stocking. I had tipped her with these coins a while back and she had told me how much the little girl loves them. She thinks they are real gold and calls them "treasures" lol

I donated $2 last night at PetSmart towards homeless pets. I also purged my closet this weekend and just need to box it up for the local thrift store.

Friday a homeless young man ask me for change, I said I don't carry money on me just my card.

Sooo he ask would I buy him a pack of cigarettes. I said no those aren't essential. But I will buy you something to eat if you are hungry. He went back inside the store pocked up a sandwich a huge bag of chips and a drink. I was happy to help him.

A friend from my hometown send me the 4th of July edition of our newspaper and while reading it, I came across an article about a fund drive to raise money for backpacks filled with assorted school suppliers for the up coming school year. The thought of any child starting school without at least one new school supply breaks my heart....

My time and energy to a worthy cause.

A co-worker is getting married in about two weeks and we were talking about how they are doing their wedding which is going to be DIY. So, I asked if she was registered anywhere- and she said no, because they are going to build a tiny house and have already downsized. So, they are just asking family members/friends for a monetary or something to help in building the tiny house gift.

I asked if there as anything she needed for the DIY wedding and she told me a story about how a friend of her's was going to give her the table center pieces that she used at her recent wedding. Well, as it turns out the friend went back on her word and sold them.

So, I said- I will get your center pieces for you. What would you like? She was all you do not have to do that, etc. etc. I said, I realize I do not have to but I WANT to. She said she would like glassware (all mismatched) that she can put flowers, tea lights, or little fairy lights in.

I am going to hit up the re-use center here or a couple of good thrift stores and buy her 12 mismatched center pieces.

Giving is one of the best feelings ever.
