The reality of what my last "relationship" really was (or was not as it turned out).

If you could make one life altering change, what would it be?

Feelings .. My feelings ...

It never occurred to me to use funny names for anyone. Not very creative, I know:(

Tell us about a time in your life that you can recall being the happiest and the most content and why it was for you...

N and I had a house upstate and I would drive up there early, on Thursdays. It was a 2-hour drive and as soon as I got there, I'd run down to the pond—there was a boardwalk through the marshy part—and when I got to the dock I'd lie down on the hot boards and breathe in the smell of the mud beneath them and feel warmed, nurtured, at peace and happy beyond words.

To make friends, to talk to like minded people. I didn't intend to use it as a dating site, but that has happened too.

What are you dreading about the upcoming holidays?

Breathless 10-04-2012 09:05 AM

I am dreading the avoidable deaths that always seem to happen because people make impaired decisions when they are impaired..
What are you most thankful for at this very moment?

The fear of success.

Would you rather be smarter or better looking?

Gráinne 10-04-2012 01:45 PM

Most definitely smarter. It's tough out there when you're only known for your body and beauty ;) (j/k).

Is your glass half full or half empty?

Smarter brains will take you places that looks can't.

Who is the one person you really look to for guidance?

Half empty  mind you it is pouring with rain right now ...

Would you rather be caught out in a heavy rain storm or snow storm?

I would have had the courage to end my marriage, rather than have an affair and hurt a wonderful lady.

Do you brush your teeth every day, or do you skip days if you aren't going to be out in public?

Graduate school. I didn't maximize that experience the way I could have.

I would have waited to tell my bio father that I was pregnant with my son, at least till i was about to show, just to have him in my life a few more months without looking at me with constant disappointment. I had only met him, and had him in my life for less than 7 months at that point.

Just one!

What do you really want to be when you grow up?

i sincerely like most household chores. i especially like them if i'm doing them with or for someone i love. if i had to pick one i liked the most i'd say it was keeping each room organized so that it's pleasant and functional.

i'm interested in Scout's question so let's regurgitate it.

why are you on the Planet? the real reason.

~ocean 10-04-2012 05:48 PM

Only if I was the one cheating with the lover. (I'm kidding, yes, I would tell her)

Would you prefer to drown or watch someone you cared about drown?

~ocean 10-04-2012 07:01 PM

Oh dear Lawd...let's see... I was on a college choir tour and had just gotten off the tour bus at a local high school during recess and it was really windy out. My skirt I had on promptly blew UP over my head and low and behold Boots just had on a pair of nylons SANS undies...! By FAR the most embarassing moment of my young life!

What are you most passionate about?

hmmm This was actually kinda tough for me. Not because I couldn't narrow it down, but because I had to really think of anything I am truly "passionate" about. I would say one thing is my right to bare arms. I didn't really realize how important I thought this was, or how hot I got about it, until the public meeting thingy at Reunion. So I guess I must be pretty passionate.

i'm ashamed to say...no. lately i've been down and sick and my sleep schedule's been all fucked up so there've been days where i forgot to brush (i usually brush first thing in the morning). i went to the dentist last week and everything's fine but it sort of lit a fire under my ass. so i'm trying to get back on track. i even got a little crazy and bought floss. i like to live on the edge.

when was the last time you walked somewhere just to walk? (not to commute?)

Yesterday, actually. OK, I was going to get the mail, but I enjoy walking a little further on to a big pond in the complex. I like to listen to the frogs and watch the ducks.

Of all the ages you have already been, if you could choose one of those ages to be for the rest of your life, what would it be and why?

46. It's the age I am now and I am happier than I have ever been. Primarily because my definition of "happy" has shifted to become less ridged and less self-centered.

Have you ever had a health issue that you knew required medical attention yet you refused to seek help? Why?

Refused for a while, because I was terrified. After a few weeks I called my doctor and went for the tests. It was benign.

What do you miss the most from childhood?

72 km, It was a bike a thon to raise money for childhood cancer, and my friends and I did it every year, to compete with each other who could raise the most, then get there the fastest.

Name a sport you loved/love to play that you totally suck at.

Hello to The Garden State

What's the farthest you rode your bike as a kid?

I don't know the exact mileage but a few miles at the very least.

What is your favorite motivational quote or saying?
