Going in to work an hour early this morning by accident & two hours later my boss asking me if I would enjoy a spontaneous day off.
Yes I would, thank you!

Epson, thanks Dad!

A new Epson all-in-one, high-resolution inkjet printer, copier, fax and scanner from my dad as a gift. It came today. I'll give him a call and tell him how awesome it is and how happy it makes me. Now, I'll get to all the Lichtenstein prints for my kitchen that I've re-rendered in hi-res, print them on photo stock and frame them up.

After that, I'll scan the jacquard print fabric from my queen comforter-pillows in my WWI bedroom, re-render them for a matching fabric shower curtain in the bath area and send it off CafePress for printing.

Very savvy and slick on how to do it all for less as a conceptual designer. I know my shit and I received a $100 off on the Epson. I'm smiling.

I love you Dad.

Nothing made me smile today. But I'm watching Night at the Roxbury now, and it's making me not only smile, but laugh out loud.

~ the smile Jonathan gives me when he walks out of school ~ and yells MY GRAMMY ~

Bèsame* 12-02-2013 10:43 PM

smiling...dancing...

I waited anxiously all day. Checking and rechecking the computer at work. Waiting patiently for the new results. I made lots of points this past weekend. I just knew I had moved up. Every week I've been inching higher. Started at 33. Hovered between 12 and 16.

I need to be in the top 5. Last week I ended at 12. This week, when I opened the page...saw my name, at number 5! Woohoo.

Getting closer to huge bonus and Tiffany Jewelry. Oh, I got warm there for a minute.

Lollygaggin' around mi casa del whacko on my day off with no chores, no errands, no nothing to do. Barely got dressed, no make up, haven't even brushed my hair yet and it's um 3:30 LoL !!! I did work quite a bit on my blog though updating and tweaking and I love it! Have some really nice new Holga shots & a few Autmny ones as well. If you would like to see, I would love for you to. Here it is: http://faireunvoeu.wordpress.com/ and I made it clickable.

And really really loud music. That always makes me smile.

Hearing a voice that I have been missing....

JAGG 12-04-2013 07:03 PM

A dream I had about my Dad last night. He passed away a year ago today. It has been on my mind all week, and maybe why I dreamed of him. I have not dreamt of him one time since he passed, and I am not sure why I haven't. But it was so good to see him again and hear his voice.

Cramming a 20 into the hand of a kid selling raffle tickets for their band fundraiser and not taking any tickets. His "Thanks, Mister!" ... priceless. I whistled all the way to the car.

Being home :)

I'm happy to say that after 110 days in the 3 hospitals and two rehab facilities after a traumatic motorcycle accident in August. Roughly 15 surgeries on my legs and a skin graft. I'm walking with a walker, it's one day and one step at a time from here on out.

But I'm frigging smiling!!!!!

I AM HOME and alive and have 2 legs. Someone was looking out for me.

I missed you all.

:) :)

Standing in the kitchen, having a bacon butty (uk>us sandwich) with The Space Cadet and talking about population, being child-free (as opposed to child-less) and the sustainability of global resources in light of Western, developed world, falling birth-rates and the less developed world/hemisphere/nations having a hugely growing birth-rate. Interesting stuffs. I miss those conversations now she doesn't really live here anymore.

Teddybear 12-09-2013 09:59 AM

Texts that made me laugh... and grin evily...

MaggieBluIze 12-10-2013 12:16 PM

*big grin as I look inside*

I have started training at work ... Yuck ...
So I do not get to work from home for a few months ... Yuck ...
But ...

Daddy Bass greets each day for me
with a cup of coffee creamed perfectly and
a little lunch bag filled with breakfast, lunch, snacks and needed utensils.

This brings such joy to my day and at moments of use
when I get to peek inside and see what has been selected for me.

It's nice to have those little things that make you smile and
have others around you asking, "What?".

Spoiled??????
Yes .... This is new for me ... I'm :heartbeat: ing it!!!!

I'm blessed!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Finally putting a voice to a name even if it happened after 24 hours of no sleep or maybe more because it did....thank you for that wonderful surprise gift my friend and the sound of your laughter is still ringing in my ears when I called you on it.....*still smiling* at the memory and the voice. To think I have been nervous about that call for months now yes me. Oh and I do recall your promise of another call when this guy isn't so tired. No it wasn't a dream but it was a pleasant way to drift off into dreams. My head full of her laughter and a smile on my face for no other reason than the spontaneous of it.

cinnamongrrl 12-10-2013 04:42 PM

my eldest.....

She asked me to pretend she was still little and just take care of her.....aww <3
