what made me smile today :)

making a new friend on bfp and getting support from the cancer thread. lots of good folks posting there. Thanks to all of them for their support. much appreciated by me.

Kenna 01-15-2014 10:38 PM

smiling feels better than cussing in frustration...

Toyota frustrated me (car makers in general do because they don't make anything easy anymore) but they didn't get the best of me....
I smiled at my accomplishment of figuring out a weird mechanical issue after looking at a very poor illustration that didn't help much....when I finally got everything back together and it worked...I smiled big because I haven't lost my touch. Then I smiled because I kept my roomie from popping vein.

Gráinne 01-15-2014 10:41 PM

This thread did. I feel like I haven't smiled in years, let alone laughed.

Seriously, spending gobs of time recently playing games with a PlanetFriend and laughing like a loon.

Bèsame* 01-15-2014 11:24 PM

Smiling...

I see relief from the holiday schedule and inventory being over. I just wrote my schedule with 6 days off consecutively. Ahhhhh, looking forward to rest and relaxation. I'm thinking some baking will happen :)

What made me smile...

the still of the house when I first wake up.

the sun shining bright on my drive into work.

the most perfect cup of coffee.

singing along with Janis to "Bobby McGee"

Smiling 01-16-2014 09:51 AM

Big Smiles this morning!

I was blessed with yet another small, but certain miracle from The Universe this morning. I can count at least 5 already this year without even having to think too hard!

2014 didn't start off smoothly for me at all and it still will be an uphill battle, but I feel goodness afoot.

The signs are everywhere; this year is going to be a huge turning point for me. I can already tell.

Feeling grateful.
:praying:

OMG I am so glad you bought cologne. Four guys in one house = lots of interesting scents. But I would not have it any other way :)

Enjoying my coffee, flipping thru the channels, I catch the end of Ghost. Crying, to the beautiful ending. I forgot how moving it was. Ditto

Then caught the end of Uptown Girls. Another, happy, sappy, tearful ending. So I sit here with a good, happy tears.

Oh, and still not dressed! Oh, this a a good Monday for smiles.

Got a lovely email from a "long lost" pal. A real smiley moment.

As for "happy tears"... don't butches ever experience "tear of joy", "tears of relief", sweet sentimental moments that bring a tear to your eye... or did I misread the quote? lol

JustLovelyJenn 01-20-2014 01:09 PM
