I'm afraid it was. It's obvious that supermarket cart neglect has been going on for centuries. These poor carts are forced on to the streets, and well, you can imagine the horrors.

Diva 02-18-2010 03:11 PM

I hate when that happens! :|

Bit 02-18-2010 03:13 PM

I dunno, I have seen yellow, green, orange, pink, red, even blue... silver... black...

I have not ever seen a purple shopping cart though...um... as garish as some of the yellows and greens have been, maybe I don't want to see what they would do to purple...?

They are really yummy too! I haven't had a homemade one since my dad died many moons ago. I think I may start my own recipes...

Thank you for the book info. I think Diva's birthday is coming up - it'll make a great present! Ya think??

I kinda got excited there for a minute and started making a list of people I would like to see battered a little bit today. Then I realized that's not what was meant. LoL.

Diva I'm not sure where you get your "today is" but, a friend of mine just sent me a text saying it's "National flash your friends day". How many sources are there?? lol.

Oh yes, I think Diva would luuuurrrrrvvvv that book! *giggles*

Actually the weirdest thing about it is that halfway through I found myself beginning to think of them as wild horses or antelope, some kind of herd creatures trying to survive in the urban and suburban wilds... Gryph and I laughed ourselves silly reading the book but then afterwards... well, afterwards the thrill of spotting them in the wild was definitely decreased by the sorrow I felt whenever I came across a dead one.

(hey, I tried)

As someone who's place of employment is in immediate proximity to a grocery store, I wholly support this month and its message.
