Good Morning Everyone,

I was able to get the cookie monster to sleep in his crib this morning. He didn't think I was funny, but in the end, I was victorious! Hopefully, he will start sleeping in his crib instead of his mother's bed, so when she has little Caleb, she will only have one in her room.

If any of you live in South Florida, have a safe day...TS Bonnie is getting close...

Thank you Lipstix for breakfast and coffee...I am going to add homemade grits and multigrain toast and plenty of soda's.

Hope you all have fun today,

Zimmy

Zimmeh 07-23-2010 06:22 AM

Good Morning Lipstix,

I saw your post asking about what part of Florida to live in. I would suggest, the Lake Nona area of Orlando to work in. Nemeurs Children's Hospital is opening up there and the University of Central Florida is opening up a Med school. You also have the Arnold Palmer Hospital for Women and Children as well as Orlando Regional Medical Center and Florida Hospital there...For a place to live, I would say the Deland area. It is about 45 minutes from Daytona Beach.

Hope this helps and have fun,

Zimmy

JustJo 07-23-2010 07:05 AM

Morning everyone :) and thank you for the breakfast Lips and Zimmy :girleating:

I'll top off the coffee :bringcoffee:

It's raining and cool here today with grey skies. Luckily I actually got ambitious and mowed the front yard yesterday evening so the neighbors won't start grumbling about me!

Kitties are still flea-free, and still smelling vaguely like clove. The mobile air freshener effect lasted a couple days. The only negative I see to the natural stuff so far is that my long haired kitty looked a bit scruffy and greasy on the back of her neck for a couple days too....guess all the oils matted down the hair a bit. Seems a small price to pay for not dousing them with poison...and it was cheaper than the frontline too, so that's always good. I'm hoping the effect lasts a little while.

Have a good day everyone! For some reason my conference calls always seem to cluster on Friday, so it's a busy one for me...but I'll be back eventually!

Hugs to everyone (and congrats on your test score Lips!)....and :lips: and :stillheart: for my baby...

It seems like there is abundant places to apply for a job and I can work in a hospital which is what I am aiming at!! So its Deland area that I should look huh?? Not too familiar with that area of florida!! But I'll try a google search or bing as you said.

Jo where did you find the natural stuff for your dogs and cats online??

I need some and would like to try the all natural stuff!!

thanks gail

Durrrrr you must do manual labor because you work long hours anyway I hope you enjoy your nap!!

Well, its an hour and half away to Kosher Chinese food, don't know what I'll get hopefully some noodles and veggies because our Temple is vegetarian so I guess there will be no meat tonight I don't know but I'm hungry already....

JustJo 07-23-2010 03:14 PM

Good evening all :)

Still debating about what to make for dinner...

Wanted to give you an update on the natural flea control though...I had bought it at a local store, so went to find an online source for you all. Happened upon an article that says clove oil (a major ingredient of the stuff I got) is harmful to cats and can build up in their livers over time. *sigh* So I guess it's back to the drawing board. They did say it was safe on dogs though...

JustJo 07-24-2010 08:11 AM

Good morning and happy Saturday everyone :)

:bringcoffee: Coffee and tea is on...but I'll tiptoe around in case some are still sleeping in. I got woken up at 8 by a wildly barking collie (she takes it as a personal affront when someone walks on the sidewalk in front of our house with another dog)...then, dozing off again, and loud yelping and crying from our mini doxie just 20 minutes later...seems the collie stepped on him and wrenched a previously damaged toenail...poor little guy. I gave up on the sleeping in for today!

durrrrrrrr I'm completely stumped on what you do for a living :giggle: , but I hope you enjoy your vacation with the Strutts and your god-daughter. :) My best friend is my son's god-mother, and it's a pretty special relationship. Very cool for both of you. :rrose:

:linecook: Breakfast this morning is omelets cooked to order (a little ham and cheddar in mine), crispy hashbrowns, patty sausage, homemade bread for toast, and a nice tropical fruit salad of banana, kiwi, mango, and pineapple. :eating:

Hope everyone has a great day, and a relaxing weekend. :)

:lips: to my :alarm: baby....

Zimmeh 07-24-2010 08:32 AM

Good morning Everyone,

Thank you for breakfast Jo Jo! I slept in until 9am, it is hot in my house even with the a/c on.

I have to go back to the college on Monday, they are trying to make me take an additional six classes, even though I got transfer credits for them from devry.

Have fun and see you all in a bit,

Zimmy

Good evening Kitcheneers - although I guess it's still afternoon for you lot.

It's Saturday night and I'm at a loose end so I'm already in my scruffs, watching the Tour de France time trial highlights and getting ready to hit the phone...it's good to talk!

I hope everyone is having a super Saturday. I'll leave a tray of snacks for those who want to graze. Of course I will leave my customary pot of tea too. :tea:
