Good morning to everyone. So far it is a beautiful morning here, no rain as of yet, maybe later. Tonight I'm going to the movies with some friends and I'm looking forward to meeting new people. I hope your day goes well. Now it's off to breakfast for me. :coffee:

Good to see you here. Welcome to the thread. I hope your day is a good one. It seems to be quiet here this morning. I guess people are sleeping in. :sunglass: |
Happy Saturday Singles! It's a beautiful day here! Going to the farmers market, then to acupuncture, then to a River Sharks game! (minor league baseball). I can't wait to start my day!
Have a wonderful weekend! Hi Breezy, nice to have you on the thread! Ruthie |
Thank you Julien and Ruthie. Have a beautiful weekend!

as only I can :sunglass: I hope you are having an amazing day. |
As much as having a dating/romantic relationship sounds appealing to me, I think my time for now is best spent taking care of myself. I know I'm a constant work in progress and I'll readily accept and admit my flaws. I can always hope, however, that someone will like me or love me regardless of them.

Good morning Beloved, Ruthie, Breezy, Mr. Nice Guy, PrettyBoyReg, Ferret and to all the other singles out there.
Well I do not have to work today and that is a good thing. Let's see what today has to offer and I look forward to whatever it is. I hope you all have a great day. Here is a question for the singles, where do You meet people? I find it difficult to do here in a small town, but I'm working on it. I recently started to attend the local MCC and am hoping for something else to come of that experience. So far it is a good one. I guess networking here is a good thing. I was just wondering what Your experiences have been in meeting people. Julien |
I live in Kentucky and it's next to impossible to meet anyone here. I've tried to get involved in different things, but if you don't fit into someone's clique, forget it. I had thought maybe I'd meet someone online (never know), but that hasn't turned out to be the best idea. For now, I think I've pretty much said f-it to the whole notion of dating.
|
I seem to only meet people through work. Otherwise, I have no idea. I am on the shy side. It seems like most of my really good friends I met in high school or college when I was forced to be with the same people all the time. I guess work is like that as well!

Still single and dancing a jig. Lol

Meeting people? I've tried where I live. I do have friends... mostly straight people and gay men. But that's OK. Friends are friends.
I did the mingling thing with the local lesbian community, but, while they're polite, they don't make conversation. As soon as they know your story (and believe me it goes through the whole community), they aren't interested. They don't even want to meet for coffee---except in a large group. Most are coupled, too. Online? Nope. Been there, done that. Done my share of driving to meet someone, only to find out that it wasn't what you expected on either side. So I'm done. Sayonara dating! Good luck to you all! I hope you find someone worthy. Does a curtsy and exits.... |
Hello. It's a warm day here in south central Pa and tomorrow promises to be warmer! That would be GREAT if I liked hellishly hot summer days! Which I don't :(
I am trying to be kind and considerate to my ex (yeah, we decided to try the friend things again) but she's already acting resentful that my social calender isn't free for her to pick and choose when she wants to do something, whatever that something is. Granted, my social calander only has one name on it (TT) but there it is. We're going to have to have THE talk again. Her sullenly listening, me calmly explaining that not only is TT a very very important part of my life, I am also pretty much decided on getting my OWN TT. (child lol) So, this is my life, either be a part of it or don't, but don't expect the pouting, sullen silences and guilt trips to do anything but make me stop taking your calls. I am single, and do want the marriage, the kids, the entire nine yards, but I am taking this time to learn how to be me again, just me, to learn how to be in love with myself. It truly isn't as difficult as I thought it would be. Turns out that I am rather loveable! Who knew?? LOL Anyway, though I can, at times, come off as a bitch, I truly am not and am open to any and all friendships. The best relationships are built on a solid foundation of friendship. Take care, Lissa |
