Why stop at just 5......
Late evening strolls at dusk with the scents of magnolia and gardenia wafting in the warm Southern air.
The dahlias I planted this spring growing tall and strong and ready to bud out. Leisurely shopping in the new art supply store and coming home with a bag full of potential joy. Brushing dirt off tomatoes still warm from the sun and tasting of all things summer. So juicy you eat them over the sink peaches. Stepping out into a soft morning breeze and the way the hem of my skirt brushes my calves. That tomorrow is Friday! :balloon: |
Childhood Fall Memories...
A crisp morning with fog rising up the mountain...
The scent of Falltime apples as the bushels sit on the porch... The sound of birds coming to life for a new day... Nothing around for miles but nature... All the sights, sounds, and feel of the outdoors filling the senses and making me feel grounded and very present in the moment. |

The way a woman looks when she gets out of the shower. ( iam into the natural beauty thing)
The way she lets me rub her feet. The sound of my guitar staying in tune. lol When people are straight up with me. A woman who is not afraid to chase me. ha ha The smile and laugh of my grandson. |

Early morning yoga stretches to gently ease my body into the day.
Quiet a.m. walks in the neighborhood when the air is soft and birdsong the only sound. Taking 2 baby squash and 2 baby zucchini from the "Free Help Yourself" box my neighbor puts out near the curb. Leaving him a jar full of daisies and zinnias in return. Spending several hours yesterday with my daughter creating various art projects. A drive out to the lake later for a picnic and boating. Perfect weather for it! Mint body wash and lotion. |

When laying in bed and a friend flips up the sheet that then slowly floats down to rest on your skin
Really tart lemonade in sweaty mason jars with lots of ice When dancing and the second wind hits Standing in the garden eating a sun warm grape tomato wrapped in a basil leaf The feel of tools suited to my hand A hot hard shower when I am grimy and sweaty |

Holding hands Hugs Soft gentle kisses Feeling peaceful Nice conversation Caring about others My puppies My work |
The dentist calling to cancel my appointment for today !!
Gas prices going down instead of up. A beautiful summer day. The flower beds blooming and colorful. The wild rabbits eating the the treats I left them, instead of my flowers. |
A lukewarm (kinda cool) shower on a hot day.
Feeling squeaky clean and fresh after said above shower. The scent of freshly laundered and dried on the outside line clothes. The feel of the muscles of the body relaxing into the recliner when it is kicked back. The luxury of a/c and a nice cold drink at the end of a long day. |
Long, lazy afternoons.
Warm sunshine on my skin. My garden full of summer flowers. Listening to the birds singing their songs and the constant buzzing of busy bumblebees. Having the time to just relax and enjoy it all. |
Date night with the girls... laughter with fishbowl sized margaritas!
The sites & sounds of the world slowing down at dusk (at least in mine). Sunsets the colors of cotton candy (warm pinks, purples & oranges). The smell of suntan lotion on warm, sunkissed skin. Early morning smiles that are just for me. |

As usual..I am grateful for the gift of today
I am grateful that when I reached out today...someone was there to help I am grateful that the ex brought lunch over for my sick daughter and myself I am also grateful that aforementioned ex brought over a recliner for me to use post-op I am grateful for my mother who continues to love me unconditionally and inspire me daily |
