FAIL Big time! Lol! I totally blew this day off playing online though I did manage to tear myself away long enough to do a load of laundry and fix dinner. Ah well, tomorrow is another day!

I plan to clean and reorganize my screened patio, or lanai as some call it. I need to see about buying some screen and re-screening it, as screen tends to dry rot here, but that will have to wait for now.

Next I need to do a perimeter search of the outside of the house and get rid of any newly constructed wasp nests. It's probably a bit too early in the season for them to start hassling me, but I want to stay on top of it. Evil buggers!

Wash the mailbox! It's white and the chlorophyll from the grass makes it splotchy green.

Change hvac filter and clean out the drain line.

Vacuum out the lint trap in the dryer.

Check the fluids in my truck.

Hey, maybe I will even get around to giving the old gal a bath! :winky:

girl_dee 03-04-2017 07:02 AM

And now on my agenda is to fix the garbage disposal since I seem to have gotten it stuck :blah:

Need to run some errands.

Want to get a pedi and there is a small place at the Mall one can enjoy a half hour foot massage AND I SO WANT TO INDULGE that BUT NOT all the crowds. Maybe I will go on a weekday when less crowded?! Then I could swing in to Cody's Roadhouse for some of their divine wings & celery sticks!!

I'm debating whether or not to hit up the bookstore. There are pros and cons to this.

Pro: I have a coupon.

Con: It's a bookstore and I love it.

Pro: I'm only really going for one magazine and one item for the coupon.

Con: That theory never works.

Pro: It's only a 15 minute drive away.

Con: It's only 15 minutes away.

Pro: I got my tax returns back and have set aside 'play money' already.

Con: I've got money to burn.

Pro: The smell of the store makes me happy.

Con: The better it smells, the longer I stay and the longer I stay, the more I pay.

This past week I sorted out no telling how many family pictures, so I am going to the hobby shop to get picture book supplies to put them in some sort of order. There is only one family member who knows who they all are and she lives in Texas so between the both of us we should be able to figure who these folks are. I should have done this years ago.

I keep putting that on my list of things to do. I know it's going to take time.

I woke up with little Bella and I fed and walked her.

I made myself some coffee, and when Pete woke up, I made us a hearty breakfast of scrambled eggs, waffles, and vegan sausages.

I started grading an eight inch pile of Algebra I work from ninth graders using dull crayons, but of course I merely scratched the surface.

I met a friend at a community meal that welcomes everyone, those who are food insecure, and those who enjoy sharing delicious vegetarian friendly food.

I came home and watched Pete burn toast and make a peanut butter sandwich. She is in school, and she has too much homework to go gallivanting around town.

I started a load of laundry, and I made a large batch of Madhur Jaffrey's spicy onion relish, and now I'm procrastinating by making long posts here.

Meal prep is already in progress! I have a sirloin roast in the crockpot with all the accoutrements and some sauce simmering on the stove for a veggie lasagna. About to start on the little omelet squares and have bread rising on top of the fridge.

Laundy is going.

Dishwasher is going.

Audiobook is super fun.

Random texts.

Bella at the window.

It's a good day :)

My agenda today was to paint the back bedroom. I got it nearly complete. I just have to do the top edge and one corner tomorrow. And paint my headboard so it doesn't clash with the warm newness of my boudoir. ..

Recover from yesterday. I don't bounce back like I used to. But the night out dancing and staying up gabbing until 6am was worth it.

Dear Wife and I are flying home to Las Vegas today from Mother's funeral this past week. She passed away this last November, in Las Vegas, where we were taking care of her. We had her cremated in Vegas, then brought her back home, to Illinois, for burial. It was a nice, simple service, with my cousin Mark, who is a Presbyterian minister, officiating. Mom can now rest in peace beside my Grandma.

It will be so great to get home. We're flying out of St. Louis today, so thank Gawd we're missing the horrible snow storms that are rolling through the upper midwest!!!

Home again, home again, jiggety jig!!!! :D
