I was just minding my own business and I guess the dog wanted to play. (We play wrestle) So suddenly she jumped at me when I wasn't looking. Scared the shit outta me!

But it's ok I managed to not have a heart attack.

He learned to eat blueberries. I can't imagine he'd never had them before, but I guess he hadn't.

Got in trouble is what they did!
The scene:
My dog, a 98 lb lab pit mix.
My girlfriends dog, a 60 lb border collie/lab mix
Me at home, my daughter in her room in lala land with headphones on- girlfriend out working on the road tonight- so just me in charge of the pups.
The dogs play really really well together. So good together. And they usually run around my back yard and play until they collapse.
Today though... they were playing playing playing, chasing each other around and then... they took off and terrorized the neighborhood. Bolted down the street. One of my neighbors caught my dog and held onto him while I chased the other through three neighbors yards. She chased a cat up a tree, got into it with another neighbors dog who is a huge police trained shepherd and round about again back to the neighbor who had my dog. Another neighbor stepped in to help hold my dog as he was too much for the nice neighbor lady who had him.
Then after getting them both I had to take both of them by their collars and walk home with them each pulling and leaping trying to get away.
Get to my house, go to open the front door. It's locked. Ringing the bell ringing the bell, knocking- why would my kid hear that? Oh, I don't know. But she didn't. So then I had to haul the dogs around the house to the back door that I knew was open.
Annoyed at myself for not asking neighbor dude to help me get them home. I have fresh stitches and was afraid I was going to pop them. But I didn't.

Mine actually laid still and took a nap with me in bed, she doesn't normally lay still but she must have been worn out from going to the groomer, this morning.

She threw up 3 times :|

She's acting fine though

Give her some rice, that will help sttle her tummy. Hope she is feeling better!

5:00 a.m. this morning my youngest woke the house with ear splitting noise I ever herd from her, she hit the high hunt so the chase was on. If anyone has herd a jack russel on the run will know what I mean. There was no talking her out of it as my other pup was in it to I knew something was up. Finely it all quit as quick as it started. I'm still wondering what it was.

The new Apoquel meds are working, so he felt like playing with his froggie for the first time in over a year. I was so happy to watch him have fun and play hard without being miserable with his allergies.

It feels wonderful to see him feeling better. He had a great time wrestling with my roommate and making me laugh when he'd do something funny to make my roommate cringe.

They let me successfully brush three of them, and clips nails on two of them (out of five) without scratching my eyes out in retaliation

Bella, Golden Retriever, Age 11 months

I let her sleep with me last night and made the mistake of getting up in the middle of the night to go to the bathroom. When I came back into my completely darkened room and tried to get into bed, I discovered that she had made herself at home on my pillow...

and then GROWLED at me when I asked her to move!

SUCH a Princess!

My girl got a bath and tail fur trim! Tomorrow she will be getting her flea treatment applied.

My boxer baby boy apparently didn't like the tassels that were (were being a key word here) on my couch's throw pillow...he chewed off 2 of the four.

I didn't buy the pillow for the tassles though. I bought It for the elephants on the pillow...so I guess I have to amputate two tassles now huh

The baby kitty has super long fine fur and recently has started getting knots in her fur so I am becoming a reluctant cat groomer. I am not sure why at 10 years old she started getting knots in her fur.

A hint for detangling knots and what have you on long haired pets. When I was still showing horses I used something called show sheen that is real good to keep hair shiny and mains and tails knot free as possible, it is best when sprayed on damp combed out hair but can be used with out being brushed out just dampen the hair first. What I like about it is that it keeps the dirt and trash from sticking to the skin as well as hair. A big gallon jug cost me about $40.00 back then but it can be bought in smaller bottles for way less. If you have a big old wad of hair all snagged up just spray a lot on the snag, let it set then take a small knitting needle then hair by hair you can detangle the mess.
