Wow. Scotty bored me tonight. I love that Alan Jackson song and I think it was a good choice for the times but that Young blood made my eyes roll up.
Lauren ROCKED the Elvis song. And her butt looked great in gold lame`. Hee. Hailey bored me as well. I liked James' Journey tribute. I thought he did great on that. I did enjoy Lady GaGa doing the hip thing. I haven't liked her in the past but I'm changing my mind. Dang it. And James (you'll pardon the unavoidable pun) ROCKED Love Potion #9. I'm buying that one. |
I find all four to be talented in their own genre.
I am not a fan of hard rock or screaming but I feel James is a real performer and have enjoyed him when he has toned it down. I predict he will be THE idol. Andrea |

I would really like Hailey to win. But Lauren probably will ... I just hope Hailey will get a recording deal, she does have potential.

I actually think America made a mistake. I'm very amazed by James' class as a high-functioning autistic who also has Tourette's. For that and that alone, the young man gets high marks from me.
Of course his exit song was bad. He was devastated. A little heart, eh? I'm not a rock fan by any chance but I liked his authenticity. I did. I actually wanted Hailey to go. But I thought it was going to be my Scotty boy. I think Nashville is a very happy town tonight with two country kids in the final three. |

I'm rooting for Lauren to clench the deal. To me, she's like my two favorite AI past winners...Kelly Clarkson and Carrie Underwood...all rolled up into one very young package. She doesn't have a CLUE as to how good she is and how great she'll be with the right grooming.

My thoughts
I'm HAPPY both Lauren and Haley are in. I think the girls sing great. I love the growl from Haley mmmmmmmmm.I think the two girls sing great together (compared to Scotty and James last night).
Usually the top ten in competitions come out of it with a contract. Just to touch on some people's comments on James and the crying. The man has a lot going against him. The Tourettes, the autisum. The man had a lot to win for. A girlfriend and a little baby boy. He lost his job prior to the auditions and like any man, wanting to support his family. I'm not saying the American people made a mistake. I'm just stating the facts as to the obstacles that he had and the possible reason for him crying. Yes the exit song certainly was not the best by any stretch of the imagination. Again, he was just told he was headed home and the dream was gone. I certainly would not be able to stand there just being told bye bye and belt out a song on key and perfect pitch (ain't going to happen). Just my two Canadian cents. Musicman |
I didn't like his singing prior, after or between the crying, if he's marketable he'll get picked up. He's not my cuppa I was never ever ever into heavy metal. As for him being a dad and having touretts, I honestly never gave those things a thought since that is not what I was looking for as far as his singing.
