while driving to my favorite hiking spot....

I saw two foxes....one red and one grey....and I had just told my daughter the other day how I hadnt been seeing any :)

the hike itself was smile worthy....especially the prolific burst of fungi growth after days of rain....

my little poodle....tramping through the mud puddles...he so obviously enjoys it....and ....I couldnt help but smile at his pure exhaustion on the drive home...he barely stirred in the passenger seat.... :)

Riding thru the beautiful country to go get a yummy milk shake...
Then stopping by Mawmaw's to check on her...for the first time im 4 years her crazy little Chihuahua let me pick him up and love on him. ...then taking the long way home and getting several pictures of the gorgeous sunset over huge wheat fields...

spending the day with BOTH my girls...we got coffee and went shopping....sooo much fun! my girls are so sweet and purty.... :)

I am going to be able to put the damage to my car: tire, wheel and possibly oil pan through my insurance company. It is not considered an accident but a "loss". I bring it into Geico's one stop shop on Monday and they have reserved an Enterprise rental for me that will be billed directly to them.

driving to petco with Pearl today..she LOVES riding in the car...sticking her head out the window..til i get going too fast..then she sneezes...shes not a fan of that. She lovesss going to petco...walking around...meeting other dogs......Pearl, though a handful at times...she is the apple of my eye...and i LOVE her!

The easiest - and fastest - client presentation in a long time. I feel like a winner :thumbsup:

This is in anticipation for tomorrow. Not sure how many of you remember the Willowbrook expose on "mental institutions by Geraldo Rivera. The college that I work at is on the grounds of Willowbrook. Willowbrook scholars and archives are very much a part of our culture.
So, where am I going with this. The graduates of our Bachelors of Social work program reached out to Geraldo Rivera for their separate graduation ceremony (50 grads and their families). His current politics, aside Geraldo accepted. When he announced that he was going to speak with many kudos to social workers, btw, he said that this is going to be his first time returning to the site since the expose. Which makes this cool and exciting.
I think tomorrow is going to be very special. For those of you interested and not aware of Willowbrook Google it. Proud to be a social worker.

My supervisor at work surprised me with a really sweet birthday card, a box of assorted chocolate, and some beautiful trinkets from her country in Eastern Europe! I was so surprised and delighted that she thought of me.

And she wrote the nicest things in the card; it was so complimentary it nearly brought tears to my eyes. It was such a nice way to start the work week!

i got my traveling itinerary for arkansas today woo hoo!!

First thing in the morning she did. Then work was great as usual.
Then... beer and pool after work with my co worker. The after work "gig"
happens every Wednesday!

I received the prettiest bouquet of all white flowers delivered to me at work! They've kept me smiling the whole afternoon.

being able to shut off my alarm; I have no particular place to go tomorrow...at all :)

one of my crazy (and I say crazy with the best intentions) clients who happens to be 60 something told me today she was only 35. I told her,"well, that makes me older than you." After processing what I said she looks at me with a twinkle in her eyes and says,"Don't worry, Honey...You look damn good for your age."

She kept me rolling with laughter and tears all day. :)

Graduation was today and I must say that it was moving. Geraldo Rivera stated that he hasn't been back to the Willowbrook site because of the nightmarish memories
He told the graduates of the Bachelor of Social Work program that seeing them was inspirational and now he can replace his old memories with memories of their faces knowing they are going to go out and make a difference in the world. Tears and smiles
