A surprise gift from the missus...the awesome Sony DSLR camera I'd been drooling over and ogling online spontanteously arrived at our house today!

My co worker gave me a "just because" friend card at the pub today. That really made me smile. When I opened that card, there was a gift certificate for a 1 1/2 massage!

My eyes got water in them.

Been up since 4 in the fuckin' morning...but great meetings with friends, good work meetings, and a rockin' drum circle!

An hour long phone conversation ...

my nephew graduated from 8th grade and will be a high school freshman next year......

this may have also made me weep a little....I was there when he was born....its just surreal that hes nearly a grown man...and refers to himself and his male classmates as such.....but I digress....

Im so super proud of my nephew....he has overcome a lot to achieve this....and I told him college is next! More tears......

So.... what made me smile today...

... ok, well, I was at the grocery store today, sporting my awesome new hair cut, feeling confident... and... walk by a woman, smile, keep going and I hear from behind me.... "Family?" ... it took me just a second to process then, turn and respond... "Yes!"

This made me smile... its the first time... ever... that someone has looked a me and just... asked!

Thinking about kayaking with my baby when she was here last weekend.....

An unexpected card in the mail!

Smiled at my dog's excellent hygiene insistence. I went outside with him at daybreak. He was half asleep when he hiked his leg to relieve himself. He didn't realize he was on the wrong side of the downhill slope and it ran down onto the foot he was standing on. He immediately noticed his wet foot and was walking around shaking it, pausing to look back at it. Kevin was very disturbed. I washed his foot and I could tell he sure appreciated my actions.

Sometimes it is the simple things.

I love my dog more than anything in the world. He is #1!!! :)

Talking with an old friend and playing catch up.. running through the last 7 months... and i just swelled with pride.. knowing just how blessed i am with the people i have around me... shit may be real at the moment... but i have an awesome support system unlike any other i have ever had!! thank You higher powers that be.. for blessing me so greatly.. and thank all of the ones that have my back... blessed be..

watching a kids face light completely up cause his dad bought him morning glory sparklers... that was priceless.. couldn't have been no more than 4 or 5

Hmmm still early for this creature of the night but my first smile of the day was noticing that my 18 year old niece was eating two different kinds of cereal mixed together...gotta love imagination in all forms....
